RIP

I remember wanting to see “The Last Picture Show” in the 80s because I kinda fancied Cybill Shepherd at the time.

His life was a textbook case of what happens when you mix business with pleasure. He should have done more with his talent: he "coulda been a contender".

'The Last Picture Show' is a superb piece of cinema. Get the DVD, turn off your phone and treat yourself.

And if you want to know 'what happened next' - although it didn't get anything like as many plaudits - you can find out in 'Texasville'.

RIP to a real legend. "What's up Doc" was a classic that I still enjoy.
