I agree. I saw PF at my college campus in 1994. Best psychedelic rock band ever, hands down! I wouldn't put it past RW to write a benefit song of his own for this cause too. Yet at the same time as all the surviving members have said, since Richard Wright died, can this truly be a 'Pink Floyd' release? And DG and RW played together for Palestinian war child relief, under their own two names. Debates, debates. Gather round and haggle....

I finally got to see 'Electric Light Orchestra' in concert in 2019, before the lockdown. Yet due to the fact that rock'n'roll in the United Kingdom seems to be a business affair, Jeff Lynne had to buy stocks to get the band together and the tour (and my ticket and all the merc) is now under the name '(Jeff Lynne's) ELO' and even that iconic logo starship on the video screens had to say his name too. it was an excellent show without a doubt, and I don't think anyone really cared that Jeff had to have his name on it. The songs stand up, the show was great fun for all, regardless of what many UK rockers refer to as 'that business s***'.
Sometimes the names don't really matter if the songs are good and remain the same. Quality ueber alles!

Let's hope it's better than Paul Hewson's poem on Ukraine.

Good album apart from Interstellar Overdrive. I prefer this to albums of 10-minute plus tracks of ‘meaningful’ prog rock jams.
Still, very talented band.

It may have been better if they'd re-hashed 'The Wall', to include the instantly-recognisable chorus-phrase:
HEY, PUTIN, LEAVE UKRAINE ALONE !
At least the message would go out loud-and-clear.

Hope this song does some good.
Too bad Roger Waters' anti-semitic stance and remarks have stained his legacy.

It's time that another great tune from the ages was brought back to life, John Lennons' 'Give Peace A Chance'...... with the great man gone for over 40 years now, maybe someone could get this out and dust it down, even one (or both) of his sons, Julian and Sean, could revive his legacy and re-release it - certainly resonant for these times now.

That song was revived just before the 1991 Gulf War. There was a version with Yoko and Sean on it with a percussion overlay but radio stations took it off 'as not to hurt some peoples' feelings'. And there was the version by the 'Peace Choir' with updated lyrics. The Peace Choir consisted of Adam Ant, Ahmet Zappa, Al Jarreau, Alannah Myles, Amina, Bonnie Raitt, Bros, Bruce Hornsby, Cyndi Lauper, Davey Johnstone, Dave Stewart, Don Was, Duff McKagan, Dweezil Zappa, Felix Cavaliere, Flea, Iggy Pop, Jazzie B, Joe Higgs, John Frusciante, Kadeem Hardison, L.L. Cool J, Lee Jaffe, Lenny Kravitz, Little Richard, Little Steven Van Zandt, M.C. Hammer, Michael McDonald, Moon Zappa, New Voices Of Freedom, Ofra Haza, Peter Gabriel, Q-Tip, Randy Newman, Run, Sean Ono Lennon, Sebastian Bach, Teena Marie, Terence Trent D'Arby, Tom Petty, Wendy & Lisa, Yoko Ono. The video aired on MTV but US and UK radio refused to air it. And the Gulf War was on TV 24/7 and became entertainment for the armchair generals and chickenhawks.

I heard the song this weekend. It's really a Ukrainian singing in his own language with Gilmour and Mason an such adding musical background accompaniment. The video says 'Pink Floyd' but that's debatable being there's just two ex-Pinkies involved. Then again, PF has their own works on their record label established years after their 2006 breakup. Go figure. Rock'n'roll in the UK is a bunch of 'business s***'. Just ask other bands about that, esp. the Beatles.
