Pioneering TV actress Mary Tyler Moore dies at 80

RIP. The MTM show was a great one. Very funny comedy with her, Betty White, Ed Asner and Ted Knight. Never missed it. I guess that only leaves Betty White from the main cast.

Actually Ted Knight and Mary Tyler Moore are the only two of the main actors on the show that have passed on. Gavin McLeod is still with us as well as Georgia Engel. Valerie Harper and Cloris Leachmann who were both spun off to separate shows are also still living.

I remember learning what a "sit-com" was by reference to the Dick Van Dyke Show when it aired. MTM did her job flawlessly.

I also loved her. What a brave woman with all the pain that attended her life.

RIP Mary, a true gem, a classy woman, funny and beautiful.
