"Family dysfunction rolls down from generation to generation like a fire in the woods, taking down everything in its path until one person in one generation has the courage to turn and face the flames. That person brings peace to their ancestors and spares the children that follow."

— Terry Real

His kids will be screwed up, just in different ways now.

There are no perfect families.

Prince Harry says he moved to U.S. to 'break cycle' of family 'pain and suffering'

Meghan Markle prompted the move to set up home in the US.

Harry was ordered pack his belongs.

With respect, Harry needs a sound kick up the backside.

"When it comes to parenting, if I've experienced some form of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that perhaps my father or my parents had suffered, I'm going to make sure that I break that cycle," said Harry.

"There's a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway. And as parents we should be doing the most we can to try and say, "You know what? That happened to me, I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen to you," he added.

This is deeply personal, and unnecessarily to share with the media, the fallout affecting his elder Brother William

Trying to extend those Famous 15 minutes again. Go away. Bug off.

Whatevs. These 2 will milk any teat of publicity to stay rich and privileged.

Apart from the fact that he is anyway not a real Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

Wow....I want to see Piers Morgans latest comment on this

or has he been silenced?

Harry should have some dignity and stop airing his laundry out in public like this. It's embarrassing.

Doesn't seem to mind being in public all the time now. If it was so traumatic why doesn't he just drop out of sight.

Charles should just out him as a not real royal.

They’ll fit right in with the rich Hollywood liberal snob elites, good move for them.

The vast majority of people vastly prefer the "rich Hollywood liberal snob elites" to the "rich dirty money conservative snob elites". Anyone rather spend an evening with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Susan Sarandon than David Koch, Trump and the my pillow guy.

Not a royalist but I wish them luck and perhaps shun the limelight for a wee bit. Familiarity breeds contempt, and all that.

Orange County, the last and main conservative jewel of what was once the great State of California, rich, clean and conservative

What does this have to do with family pain and suffering?

Probably not, we are talking about the former royals in LA, it’ll be anything but quiet. Now if Meghan starts gossiping around, it’ll be all over TMZ (and for my European friends on JT and those that don’t know what that is) it’s a tabloid site about celebs that belongs to a former acquaintance of mine’s, Harvey Levin, so I’m sure they’ll be watching these two like hawks.

What does this have to do with family pain and suffering?

I hope you’re not implying their victims?

Imagine, you're 12 years old, and you're made to walk behind your mother's coffin while the whole world is watching and you're supposed to stay composed. And you watch the tabloids carrying on as if they had nothing to do with your family's misery. No wonder he wanted to leave.

I have an extremely low opinion of him, he could have done better!

Haven't read the article yet, I came here for some laughs, am I in the right place?

Can there be a more selfish, self-absorbed, woke-o-holic pair?

Wallowing in a cesspool of self pity,

Whist simultaneously vomiting a virtue-signaling self-righteous pious barrage of sanctimonious tittle-tattle for a emolument.

What a whining ungrateful brat. Don’t bad mouth family in public, even if they deserve it.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Father called, barking my last comment was potty mouthed, disrespectful, and rude.

I won’t pretend a tad blunt.

However, the pair are infuriatingly pharisaic, the pointy finger preachy sententious out load moralizing is frankly gut wrenching

I am tired of hearing about the royal family. Very tired of it.

Harry is not very convincing, the mrs wanted to go to the states so he went along

Wife to hubby.

It is my way or no way.

I say jump, you jump.

Got it, sonny.

After marriage, a woman either makes or breaks the family. Here, she broke.

Their victims?

Anyway, still doesn't answer my question. Both these young people have suffered varying degrees of unhappy family life and (leaving aside their privileged royal existence), I'm glad they are of a comfort to each other.

For those who miss Harry the cheeky chappie, larking about and all that... well, everyone misses the playful happier times of childhoods/teen years, etc.

They should get a shrink and since they’re moving to California, they have some of the best and they can afford the best.

I understand all of that, but like you said, both of them have each other, so they should heal together, keep a low profile and stop saying things that will keep getting them in trouble and putting in the headlines, it’s their own making, they chose to leave the royal life, they chose to live in the States (California of all places) and they are public figures, so like it or not, whatever they say or do will always be scrutinized, if they don’t like it, go under, Cameron Diaz did that and she’s the most happiest person and doesn’t miss Hollywood and good on her. I definitely respect what she’s done, she made a smart choice, so how these two want to be treated will depend on them and their daily public conduct.
