I agree. But rock'n'roll is a stupid business thing in the UK. Still, Freddie was too dynamic of a performer - as Queen frontman and solo. In a way this 'Queen' is like a Rolling Stones w/o a Mick Jagger.

Queen 'bit the dust' in my book when Freddie passed away in late 1991. He recorded vocal tracks for an album + the other 3 added their studio input to make 'Made In Heaven' which came out in 1995. That was the coda of Queen's career to me. Nothing against Adam (he's good) but this ain't Queen. Queen is over.

Adam Lambert could easily perform & entertain us like Freddie did, but it feels like he is being suppressed by May, who mostly takes centre stage

To a certain point, but Adam is Adam and Freddie is Freddie They’re both different in both of unique in their very own ways and styles of performance, they should never be compared, but respected as the individuals they are. For me personally, Queen is really not that much of a band if you don’t have John Deacon, , I still see them if given the chance, but I was a huge Deacon fan and not seeing him just kills it for me, but Adam filling in does help somewhat to fill that void.

Queen is very much alive. I went to see them in Tokyo with Adam Lambert a couple of years ago. Very good, and I would go again given the opportunity.

Ahh, I feel safe now. Has Bono made one yet? We can truly relax then
