It's considered rude to wear dark glasses in the presence of her majesty. Bill Roache in the photo.

Have you considered that they might be reactive lenses?

My own glasses go quite dark even on overcast days just because I'm outside and in natural light. I had this issue when at a friends wedding, the photographer assumed I was wearing sunglasses and asked me to take them off.

I bet he didn't tug his forelock either..... outrageous!

Ken Barlow was the editor of the Weatherfield gazette. An extreme left wing, republican leaning paper. No wonder he didn't show respect to the Queen... No knighthood for him!

Bill Roache has been in it since the first episode. Not been the same since the Ogden’s went. Haven’t watched it for years, it went from everyday realism to OTT sensationalism, like Eastenders.

Oh dear, someone else pretending they don’t know something that has been repeatedly stated.

You are not obliged to wear masks outdoors as the risk of catching covid is negligible.
