I saw it. Nothing special. Glad I did not pay.

I like comic book movies. I don't expect it to have a deep story or be anything thought provoking. I just want to sit back and enjoy. Unfortunately, this billion dollar movie will not be coming out in Japan until August. That's a long wait. It'll probably be released on Blu-ray in the U.S. before coming to Japan. Which sucks.

It'll probably hard to avoid spoilers until I'm able to see it.

I'd love to see it......but not showing here till Aug 17th! Here are the release dates worldwide -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0848228/releaseinfo and of course, if you scroll all the way to the very bottom of the list you can see Japan -- a mere 3 months after Pakistan and Georgia and nearly 4 months after countries like Panama, S. Korea and Uruguay.

Somebody forget to update a caption? The headline reads:

Record-breaking 'Avengers' smashes $1 billion mark

yet the caption under the photo reads:

'The Avengers' has earned $373.2 million so far, according to box office tracker Exhibitor Relations.

Somebody needs to get on the same page as the other.

That's very high for an action movie. That Joss Whedon guy do wonders!

What a joke! A megahit movie like this and even Pakistan and Georgia get it three months before Japan. HOPELESS!

Well that's the way the osembe crumbles. I imagine the theaters will be empty as usual. I hope they don't dub it into Japanese.
