It will be interesting to see how Tom Hanks can pull off the cranky old man character. Rolf Lassgård had the grisly look as Ove.

He was fairly good at being somewhat temperamental in Road to Perdition, I think he can do it.

While not every Tom Hanks flick is good ('Turner and Hooch', anyone?), he has always been a flexible and serviceable actor. I remember him back in 1982 with 'Bosom Buddies' which would get these 'wokesters' in a dander now. Anyway, I think he can pull off this one, he's more than good enough for the role.

Looked pretty boring. The trailer had the obligatory racial joke that is just a “misunderstanding”. that has been done a thousand times.
