She's lost what was once a pretty edgy, mysterious and hence interesting thing going.

She had her own unique image and sound going and when she started doing the other standard genre stuff, it got predictable and she lost "it".

Speaking of production, I'm still impressed with the production and sound from the songs on Fame Monster when I hear it after all these years.

That's par for the course. She is not young and new anymore is all. She can embrace classic stuff and continue to sing well. A few artists continue to be edgy as they age -and it's great. But almost all of them end up losing their mass fan base and become cult artists, appreciated by musicians and a small fan base. I don't think she is that kind of artist. Talented singer to be sure, but still basically mainstream.

Every artist has their dud albums. I'm sure this exceptionally talented young person will give us plenty of great LPs in the years ahead.

I still get the shivers when I hear her magnificent Rogers & Hammerstein medley at the Academy Awards a few years ago.

On “Plastic Doll” she sings, “I’ve lived in a pink box so long/I am top shelf, they built me strong.”

First of all, the lyrics are pathetic, senseless, and come off like a neurotic spoiled brat. But then, there is this:

"I've got blonde hair and cherry lips

"I'm state of art, I'm microchipped

Am I your type?

Am I your type?

(Oh-la-la, oh-la-la, ooh-ooh, oh-la-la)

At first I thought maybe she was singing from the perspective of one of those "dolls" but after going over the lyrics, no, that's not it, she just sounds like a well developed and trained spoiled brat beyond hope, who wants to be treated like more than just the plastic she is, who's happy to be "chipped".

**Let's see one of these modern musical *** do a "bridge over troubled water" or even something as basic as "Hey Jude". They can't. And Lady Gaga just proved it.

Read those lyrics. If I ever heard anyone talk like that, I'd be propelled away so hard I'd steal energy from the environment just to get enough to appropriately accelerate away, and leave a trail of ice. Gone at 700G's.

She always seemed to be and even sang like a droid. And she goes out of her way to get sexually repugnant in her videos. My local newspaper compared her a few years ago to David Bowie and Roxy Music. LOL. She has the glam look but not the songs. She's just style without substance. At least Bryan Ferry is still alive to show us what glam truly is about, and he's got class. Same for Alice Cooper, in his own special way.

"Shallow," yes. I'd say that describes Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga has made millions and millions. She can do what she wants.

I wish she would make a heavy metal album instead.

Thrash, industrial, stoner - she could pull off any of these if she wanted.

Oh well, maybe next time.

Look it up. She took the name 'Lady Gaga' from the Queen song 'Radio Gaga' which pans pop radio constantly playing shallow juvenile low IQ trash music - which Lady Gaga does. 'Radio gaga, radio goo-goo, radio na-na' - that's her alright. A fitting moniker fershure. She even has a song titled 'ScheiBe' which is a German cuss word for 'crap' (to put it politely). So there you have it! Lady Gaga makes gaga goo-goo na-na CRAP.
