Ricky Gervais to host record fifth Golden Globes

The hype around these award ceremonies is ridiculous.  The Office was funny but after that not much he has done makes me laugh.  and a lot of his tone is pretty patronizing and seneering and relies on pretty dodgy stereotypes (e.g./ Derek, which was pretty dire).

Ricky ripping the rich and famous apart,good good!

I veer from admiration to annoyance with RG. I guess that's what his rasion d'etre is.

He's more funny when puncturing pretensions than acting the edgelord.

I think it's great presenting all these golden globes and all but I don't agree with that in the workplace.

That one-trick pony needs to be put out to pasture. His funny ran out over a decade ago.
