Yes, I agree. Ringo wasn't even the best drummer in the Beatles. But stll interesting, nonetheless.

His drums on Rain and Tomorrow Never Knows (to name a few) are positively ground breaking.

I also saw them before Covid, when they came to Fukuoka, he is a great entertainer still at his age. Great show. He is definitely not the greatest, but for sure a decent drummer for the style of music he plays.

I saw him and the All Starrs in 1999. He usually picks some really good mates for that band.
Ringo Starr is Ringo Starr, not Phil Collins, Neil Peart or Richie Ramone. What he does is serviceable enough. He delivers the goods. Besides, everything starts somewhere with somebody.
