Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Hoping for a full recovery for Mick and that the Stones will come to Japan at least one more time.

Hope he pulls through. Years of heavy cocaine and alcohol use aren't great for your heart...he's lucky if its not a full heart transplant and just unblocking arteries.

Best wishes to Mick for a successful surgery and recovery. He's gonna need a well-functioning heart to keep up with his with his current girlfriend, 32 year old ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick!

75 and still working? No wonder this happened.

Remember when Keith got blitzed in Fiji, fell out of a coconut tree on his noggin and had water in the brain? The Stones had to postpone their European tour that year but he recovered and they came back all engines running. I think it'll be the same with Sir Mick - the Peter Pan of Rock'n'roll.

Here's to a speedy recovery, Mick. I've seen you guys twice, three times would be nice.

The Rolling Stones have outlasted so many other bands I've seen and grew up with - Motorhead, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Ramones, RUSH, Motley Crue, Midnight Oil, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, Police, INXS, AC/DC, REM, more -* *and they keep on rolling!

Wishing him a full recovery -- one of the great musicians. But wait a minute, if socialized medicine is so great, why is Mick having surgery in NYC and not London?

@Vern--"great musician"? Heh, one of the most elite percussionists ever to wield a tambourine? Keith is a great musician (guitar player) even if he cribbed his licks from other greats of the past. Mick is a fine enough singer.

As for the hospital location, maybe Mick doesn't want to be a beast of burden on London's overworked socialized medicine institutions? Or the dole money was late arriving and he said screw it, NYC here I come.

Jagger, 75, would undergo surgery this week in New York -- article

But, but, but. . . How come he's not getting his surgery done in merry ol' England? Liberals say over and over again that socialized medicine is unmatched anywhere in the world.

He living in New York. I assume it's to be near his son.

Actually, Jagger is a more than competent guitarist - hes playing guitar on some Stones recordings. The reason he doesnt play more is that Richards and Wood have it covered. Also hes a very fine blues harmonica player.

Hes minted so he would get it done where he wants and feels is the best, cant see him lining up for an NHS waiting list, foolish comments.

You're absolutely right. Besides, when it comes to playing live Mick is the frontman and he's what the band RUSH refers to in 'Superconductor'. You want to 'watch his every move'. He's always in motion, he struts his butt and everybody wants to SEE Jagger. However, due to age he doesn't exhibit as much 'body language' during performances as he used to but he still is quite agile for his age.

As for guitar playing, he has played acoustic and electric guitars for a few songs both times I've seen the Stones (1997 and 2015). And yes he honks his harmonica quite fine too, he's good. But generally he sings his lyrics while moving around the stage, sometimes wearing a cape (like that famous UK + US flag design). He does play guitar in the studio but on stage HE is an object of focus with his 'Jagger swagger' and Keith and Ron handle most of the guitar playing load.

I wish him the best. A true legend, and he had his surgery at the great hospital in the US. NY Presbyterian Hospital, A-Class! He’s in the best of care, pulling through nicely, can’t wait to see them on tour again. Best of luck recovering.
