Rumiko Koyanagi releases first new single in 9 years

Veteran singer Rumiko Koyanagi, 58, took to the stage at a PR event in Tokyo this week to publicize her new single "Yasashikute." The song, her first new single in 9 years, was composed by Masaaki Hirao, 73, who also wrote Koyanagi's fourth single "Seto no Hanayome" with lyrics written by Rei Nakanishi, 72.

Journalists at the event took the opportunity to ask Koyanagi about the nature of her relationship with a company president four years her senior, with whom she has been romantically involved since last year. "I'll leave that to your imagination," she replied with a smile.
