Sayaka Kanda and American singer Idina Menzel will sing "Let It Go" from Disney's megahit "Frozen" on NHK's popular New Year's Eve program "Kohaku Uta Gassen" (Red and White Song Contest).
In the "Frozen" segment, Menzel, 43, who voiced Elsa’s role and sang the original “Let It Go” in the English version will sing with Kanda, 28, who voiced Anna’s role in Japanese. They will sing “For The First Time in Forever” and “Let It Go” from New York, in both Japanese and English. May J will also sing a Japanese version of "Let It Go."
“I am very excited to be able to sing with Kanda-san,” Menzel said in a statement.

Matsu Takako did the J voice for Elsa and Sayaka Kanda did the J voice for Anna. Matsu Takako sang Let It Go in Japanese (Ari no ma ma) in the movie, and it's a much better version than May J's IMHO.

I was surprised to hear that this song was sung by Kanda Sayaka, the daughter of Matsuda Seiko. I went through a "Seiko" phase when I was a kid in the 80s (first sign I was totally gay?). I have to say (but not too loud) that she sings much better than her mother.

I thought the Japanese version was officially sung by Matsu Takako. But then again she's a cute actresss and not really a singer.
