Shizu-chan goes into 'Transporter' mode

"Nankai Candies" comedian Shizuyo "Shizu-chan" Yamazaki, 30, who is rumored to be in the midst of a romance with 25-year-old actor Akinobu Shinoya, son of photographer Makishin Shinoya, was in good form at the premiere of the film "Transporter 3 Unlimited" in Tokyo this week.

Appearing with co-comedian Ryota Yamasato, Shizu-chan appeared in a gold dress wearing a red wig modeled after the heroine of the movie, posing sexily for the crowd. Shizu-chan announced unabashedly, "This is the first time I've been the subject of rumors of an amorous nature."

Somebody asked her who she would like to go with to see the movie when it opens on Aug 15, to which she grinned and responded, "Mmm, it's going to have to be... Shinoyama." In the end she hesitated to make any announcement regarding the pair's relationship, and said they are "just good friends."

Finally she joked with the crowd, "I just wanted to say that to see what it felt like!"

I suggest you try to play along with Q-sama.

You overestimate the Japanese literacy level of majority of posters here.

Excellent show. I learn a lot of Kanji from watching it (for now, I can usually recognize the first 4-5 questions). The historical questions are also quite difficult, but interesting. This show definitely beats that mindless Hexagon crap.

Shizu-chan Funny and cute........

I like tall women. Good for her.

Herefornow - I think you misunderstood my post. I am no fan of hers, I watch around 6 shows, and see her all the time. Commercials, sometimes she appears on shows like Q-Sama (quiz show), and even more rarely on London Hearts. For the record, All of the shows I watch are either Quiz-oriented (Q-Sama, Nep-League, etc) or variety shows that have nothing to do with food, like London Hearts or Shinsuke's show where they basically ask 20 college guys "would you sleep with her?" about a celeb (name escapes me). While I would agree that most shows (everything is "OISHII!!!," chicks sitting around talking about how they want/need to get married crap) are crap, there are some good ones out there, and If you think they are all 5th grade intelligence level, I suggest you try to play along with Q-sama.

she's 6'1" tall and 180 pounds (according to Dramawiki). By Western standards that's perfectly normal.

Yeah, for a man...

I love Shizu-chan. She's hysterical and adorable, and she and Yama-san play great off each other. Japanese comedians generally leave me cold (it's that Western sense of humor, I tell ya), but I always enjoy Nankai Candies. To everyone calling her huge and ugly -- she's 6'1" tall and 180 pounds (according to Dramawiki). By Western standards that's perfectly normal. She'd barely even stand out in a crowd!

Well I can't say I'm surprised that many posters here feel threatened by a real woman like Shizu-chan. Just because she looks like she could kick your a$$... I guess the squeaky-voiced, emaciated talentos do it for most here. No threat there, no brain either.

I wasn't exactly moved by the first movie.

Its interesting to see so many people who comment here about all the problems in Japan and what "they" should do, but have no clue who Shizu-chan is. I watch, in total, like 6 shows on Japanese tv and I see her all the time. She is all over the place

Previous comments must have hit a raw nerve. Still don't know who she is.

The film beats the sequel to the original, but I still thought, when I saw it A YEAR AGO, it wasn't that great.

It really is preposterous that people have to wait for up to a year to see a new film in the world's second-largest economy.

I don't understand why you would want to see this crap of film in the first place. Me, I prefer to see something more compelling.

Another ridiculous delay by Japanese movie industry. Blue-Ray is on sale in amzon.com already.

nisegaijin: hear, hear. It really is preposterous that people have to wait for up to a year to see a new film in the world's second-largest economy.

No wonder they have to get Z-list celebrities like the above to promote the films when they eventually do make it here - the stars of the flick have more than likely forgotten about the whole project.

DarkKnghtZ -- maybe you answered your own question. Speaking just for myself, I don't want to ever be able to say I watch 6 Japanese TV shows that Shizu-chan would be on, and therefore have a "clue" as to who she is. At that point, I head straight for Narita, because I've allowed myself to be dumbed-down to the 5th grade level of intellect this kind of promotion reflects. But, if you are a big fan of her's, good on you. To each his own.

Shes not hot by any stretch of the imagination, but shes far better looking than that picture.

Which is the guy amd which is the gal? No question that the one on the right is more muscular and probably has more testosterone than the one on the left. Just look like two cross-dressers to me.

Agreed. I liked the first two Transporter films, this one was just a series of excuses for Jason Statham to take his shirt off. I thought at first that the series might be a solid action series without a lot of extraneous BS, but unfortunately it was not to be. This last one was more like a manga version.

I saw this film before Christmas in the UK. It was really very, very poor. Sadly, the appearance of Shizu-chan at the cinema will probably have been the best part of the evening for most of the people there. Shinobu is a very lucky boy indeed.

She's about 180cm (5' 11") which is quite a lot of woman. Very solid.

, and I thought Ryoto was a woman...

WOW, she's huge.

"posing sexily for the crowd" my eyes are bleeding...

Shizu-chan is ridiculously sexy. LOVE those legs, and those lips look so soft. That's a real woman's body, nothing like those innumerable talentos that look like 15 year old boys... Wish she'd take me.
