I remember a pal back in london claiming a similar thing some 15 years ago, this is going to open a can of worm.

I do not condone what Spacey or any of the other Hollywood hypocrites did. But he is a damn good actor and was great in House of Cards. Shame that got nixed.

What happened to "innocent until proven guilty" ? Seems like it has been replaced with "if there's smoke there must be fire".

A large segment of Hollywood is active in Leftist politics and have been accusing others of sins in order to virtue signal their moral superiority to the rest of the world. If you disagree with them, you are branded a racist, sexist, or some other label meant to discredit. The fact that the Left is eating their own is simply a consequence of their misguided strategy to silence dissenting opinions. Human nature being what it is, It was bound to boom-a-rang on them.

Spacey's first impulse after being called out for his predatory behavior was to do what all Leftists do, claim victims status. So he immediately comes out as gay - and a certain segment of the Left will back off, make excuses for him or remain silent because of his status as being an "oppressed victim" - which of course is absurd. In many cases you don't even have to be a member of the Left's victim class as long as you support their causes by becoming a good "ally". This is how Harvey Weinstein got protection for so long and is how twisted and confused America's elites have become. It is sickening.

Sorry I know you don’t want to hear it but innocent until proven guilty was done the day people decided they wanted to impeach Trump before they could prove he did anything wrong.

Could have at least tried to get some actual evidence against Trump first. But didn’t so now anyone and everyone has to follow the same precedent where accusations somehow equal immediate guilt and expected punishment.

And Kevin Spacey was totally lame. Trying to hide behind suddenly being gay as an excuse for what he did?

For once, I’m going to pull the ‘but Hillary’ card. Swap her name for Trump’s in the above statement.

It’s pretty pathetic that you try to pretend that this started with Trump.

Well, it wasn’t suddenly being gay, he’d always been that way. But yeah, trying to deflect by coming out of the closet is pretty sad.

Perhaps these personality deficiencies make Spacey so good at playing his role in productions such as the House of Cards.

@Strangerland and Blacklabel - You guys are both right on the innocent until proven guilty account. I think they are both Teflon (rich enough and powerful enough to get away with things we mere plebes cannot). The folks in Hollywood, disillusioned by their "fame" (Spacey, Weinstein, etc.), soon realize they are mere pawns in the propaganda games. They can, however, walk away rich and disappear somewhere having done their aforementioned duty to "the cause".

Personally, I do not watch movies because of the personalities involved....I just want a good diversion now and again. Some actors/actresses/writers, etc. are better at giving that diversion does than others.

In the end I agree with all....the way this went down does not speak well of Mr. Spacey. Bummer as he is a great actor.

Yeah he was a great actor and I can let the Hillary thing go because she actually was guilty, just Comey decided to change “grossly negligent” (which has a criminal penalty) to “extremely careless” (which is the same thing but doesn’t).

Already people coming out in support of spacey and asking why he has to lose his whole career because of something that happened for 10 mins decades ago when he was drunk.

Normally I would agree with that, he shouldn’t have to pay such a huge price for rest of his life. But because of what he actually did to a kid , it’s pretty much unforgivable. Good actor, too bad, but there are others to replace him.
