I find it kind of funny how so many are hot to get at people who didn't pay taxes....as if anyone here truly benefits from taxes....well...maybe the government sock puppets do.

Whatever is said, income tax is just plain evil and wrong, even on the rich. People should be taxed on what they have, not money that came in, which may have all gone toward food, bills and necessary purchases. Sales tax should be the only way governments get money, though food and basic necessities should be exempt.

My question is, if her official residence is in the Bahamas, did she pay taxes there in 2012 to 2014? If so, Spain should be talking to the Bahamas to decide who gets the tax money, or if they will split it. Whatever is said, Shakira is just one woman and expecting her to face off against governments that can't even get things right between them, isn't fair at all.

No, you can't (to answer my own question).

Already done, why ask for something only to ignore it later? is it the point to make self defeating comments on purpose?

That's easy--they have children together

See, it was not so hard to understand how they made a family together.

Can you quote verbatim from the article where it mentions Pique as a family member of Shakira--can't find it.

No, you can't (to answer my own question).

How do you call having children together if not this?

*Shakira, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, has been linked to Spain since she started dating the now-retired soccer player Gerard Pique. The couple,* who have two children...

That's easy--they have children together. It doesn't mean they are married and therefore it does not mean they are family members.

The article clearly mentins Gerard Pique as the family member of Shakira, nobody implied Messi or Ronaldo were related to her.

Thanks.

This article is about Shakira, a singer. Messi and Ronaldo aren't her family members.

No matter how much money these people make, they are always greedy for more. She is not a star but a common tax cheat, who stole from the ordinary tax payers.

Sad to see that apparently tricks so common for soccer stars spread also to their family members.

They just hate to see women succeeding.

Succeeding in evading taxes? Yes, governments hate that.

WOW if the court house doesn't kill you the tax collectors will. The amount of money they say she owes is alot what is the sense in working? Its either she made more than she has to pay out or she didn't pay at all!!!
