Poor Neil, somebody could be pulling his strings, otherwise he’d actually mention WHAT “life threatening misinformation” he’s talking about. He don’t. Either he’s being manipulated by wife Daryl Hannah, or he’s just “the most self-centered, self-obsessed, selfish person I know. He only thinks about Neil, period. That’s the only person he’ll consider. Ever!" that David Crosby says he is.

It’s great to see a music legend like Neil Young stick to his principles.

Guess he got what he wished for.....

Nice!

So much anger from Neil and fueling the divide when we should be coming together more than ever...

Neil has turned into a bitter lump of coal. Get rid of him Spotify.

Good riddance. Shame on Neil for trying to censor life-saving information.

If the division is between clear and truthful information and bogus claims not fundamented in anything there should not be any compromise, letting people die unnecessarily because of the excuse of "coming together" makes no sense.

Shame on Neil for trying to censor life-saving information.

Mistaken in two accounts, first because point was always to be clear in his lack of support for disinformation and second because no life-saving information would be censored, only repeatedly debunked false claims that are being given a forum for no valid reason.

Bye Bye Neil! You shouldn’t have tried to cancel Joe Rogan!

He didn't. Please read more widely than facebook.com/qanonutjobs.

@Raw Beer: You said :

Let me correct this for you:

Good on Neil for protesting life threatening misinformation.

I hope Neil Young will remember,.... ____men don't need him around anyhow. Skynyrd was right!

Ha.. If you look at the play count for his songs on Spotify, it's quite clear that profit is certainly winning out in the last 24 hours. I'll hazard a guess at many many more millions of streams than Joe Rogan related.

Paying somebody for misinformation, and hosting it, is two different thing

Some people in the world, want to be deceived,so let them be deceived, some people left too their own devices, will do their own selves in, that natural selection

Neil has some 'punk' and 'grunge' cred and this is once again an example to further it. He's lashing out against the hypocracies and lies that ravage the world today. He's a resister, a fighter!

Keep on rocking in the free world, Neil. While there still a light of freedom left.

Phrasing for the day:

“When I left Spotify, I felt better,” [Neil] Young wrote on his website today. “I support free speech. I have never been in favor of censorship. Private companies have the right to choose what they profit from, just as I can choose not to have my music support a platform that disseminates harmful information. I am happy and proud to stand in solidarity with the front line health care workers who risk their lives every day to help others.”

[Neil Young], who has long criticized audio quality on streaming services, and on Spotify in particular, closed with one last dig. “As an unexpected bonus, I sound better everywhere else,” he wrote.

Reply to Fizzbit---HERE is the life-threatening information!!! Rogan, the podcaster, UFC color commentator, and former actor, is no stranger to controversy. He has repeatedly urged his younger listeners not to get vaccinated and has touted ivermectin as a COVID treatment. (Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic drug and is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat or prevent COVID. Its list of side effects is long.) Rogan has also hosted a variety of conspiracy theorists (including Alex Jones), has given voice to anti-trans views, and has falsely claimed that “left-wing people” started forest fires in the West.

That's grounds for a libel lawsuit.

Young has had a fighting ('proto-punk') spirit in him since the 60s. You know he put out a CD w/ DVD of him with an alternative band from New England doing songs he wrote, all of them bashing Monsanto pesticide, don'cha? For quite a long time, he has raged against the machine.

Spotify lost $4 billion in market value this week. Ha! Serves them right for sticking with a goon like Joe Rogan.

Serves them right. The CoVid is no joke, nothing to be monkeying around with.
