Springsteen's doses of penicillin for the soul have been a huge part of my life. I've always felt fortunate to have lived during his lifetime.

In this grotesque time we're living in at this moment, it's nice to be reminded of some of the actual good this country has to offer. Springsteen embodies the positive aspects of the American experience because at his core, he seems like a good, empathetic man. Bruce has been a mature lyrical writer and rock'n'roller of the highest degree, and his music has been a soundtrack for much of my life too. I have seen him live 4X and he is the toughest artist to get tickets for today - his shows sell out even faster than Rolling Stones gigs! His songs are observational in nature and they provide a mirror to the heart and soul of American culture and life, warts and all.
