The Boss.
Born in the USA!

I loved Springsteen in the late 80's during the worst era of music until present day.
But he hasn't produced one decent album since Born in the USA.
It happens. A musical artist has only so much in him and usually becomes an oldies act after the age of 35.

He is the Boss!

Springsteen has always been a huge booster of Detroit music, a fan of Mitch Ryder and Bob Seger, both of whom were influenced by Motown early on. I am sure his covers will be good. Maybe not breaking any new ground, but good enough.

No thanks. Love Motown. Maybe for the Bruce fans, but still…the screen door slams, Mary her dress sways. Like vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays. Roy Orbison singing for the lonely………

Let’s hope he doesn’t turn these classics into trash and become “The Loss Boss”

Well, I'll listen to it at least once just to see how he does it. There is no way he can perfect already perfect songs, but it's always interesting to see others' interpretations, and even though the original is usually better in most cases, you can still get decent alternatives. Not a big Springsteen fan, but he is The Boss, after all, and like I said, could be okay. You won't see me buying it, but with Apple Music I'll hear it eventually without having to.

Oh yes. The heyday was before my time but the music is some of the best ever made.
I’m not a Springsteen fan but I might give this a go. I liked his album of folk covers.

When I was a young teenager, Motown was for me. Had loads of those 45 rpm.

I agree with the second part of that statement

Great songs, but I won't be wasting a penny on buying anything made by Springsteen.

Hard to go wrong with songs like that but it is possible to trash classics.
Roxy Music’s ‘Jealous Guy’ one of the worst I’ve heard. Never liked Jimi Hendrix’s ‘All along the Watchtower’ either.
Marvin Gaye’s ‘Heard it through the Grapevine’ a classic.
