May the force be with you. RIP princess Leia.

Your Blues Brothers cameo was hilarious. Vaya con Díos.

RIP, dear Carrie. From what people are posting everywhere, she was one of the best person to be around, to listen to her, to watch her. I confess I only knew her from Star Wars, and she caused me such an impression she is one of the best memories ever - going with my brothers to watch SW when I was seven.

This year has been a truly sad and depressing one. RIP

RIP Mrs Fisher.
The bad news just keep rolling George Michael, Richard Adams(great writer).

Was just rewatching her in “Appointment with Death” and remembering that quote of Lauren Bacall during their filming that Carrie Fisher had the “most extraordinary feminine brain I have ever encountered”. I think Paul Simon might be second actually. lol
And here is a short clip by Simon’s biographer on the relationship if anyone is interested. They need to open this for comments now.

Peter Ames Carlin, author of Homeward Bound, discusses the relationship between Paul Simon and Carrie Fisher.
She just talked about him again recently for the first time in ages in a Rolling Stone interview which is quite interesting. It is all I can compose myself to write at the moment. The sadness is beyond words. RIP.

RIP. You were part of a legacy that brought happiness to millions, if not billions.

“Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously. The shadow of greed, that is.” – Yoda

Oh please 2016, just stop it already. :-(

I thought she was recovering in the hospital... Very sad news. RIP

Yeah, 2016 really is crappy.

So, no Princess Leia in SW E VIII.
Super bummer.
First Han, and now her.
Only Luke is left.

Plane flights. Frequent plane flights equals higher risk of blood clots. Gotta wear the support socks. I saw her one woman show on HBO. I could never figure out why he dumped on her step father, especially when she didn't have anything on him except that he wasn't handsome. Who does that kind of thing?

Rest in peace, Princess Leia. You were the force !

Harry Karl ? Because he barely ever spoke to Carrie or her brother, squandered his own money and Reynolds' millions on gambling and prostitutes and left the actress and her children broke and devastated maybe ?

RIP. Ms Fisher.

She'll be in it: http://www.tmz.com/2016/12/27/carrie-fisher-star-wars-episode-viii/

A lot of people were making out her illness the other day to be not so serious, but I guess in the end it was as serious as it gets. Another bright light snuffed out in 2016, and again in part likely due to drug and alcohol abuse. I first remember Fisher in The Blues Brothers, but best as Princess Leia. RIP.

And I thought she was recovering. RIP. Does seem like a lot of famous people tend to go at this time of year. I wonder if they'll use CG for her role in SW8 or would that be too soon. It could be seen as a kind of tribute if they did it right.

The ending of Rogue One is apropos
RIP

The grim reapers scythe must be blunt buy now! 1st Rick Parfitt from status quo, George Michelle, Peter Vaugan, Zaa Zaa Gabor, A football team in a plane crash in November, plus a load of other well know celibates this year. and now Mrs Fisher.
Strangerland
Just 9. She finished filming her parts in 8.

I was 6 year old when Star Wars hit the drive in where I was living at the time, and it remains one of the most memorable cinematic experiences I've had. So, I grew up a Star Wars fan, along with pretty much everyone of my generation. Princess Leia was tough, smart, resourceful and sorted out the wayward and bumbling men of Star Wars in an inimitable fashion.
RIP, Carrie Fisher.

I guess the moderators are averse to postings that don't idolize dead "stars".
Moderator: No, we are averse to garbage posted by insensitive readers such as yourself.

Lets get down to the nitty gritty. Carrie Fisher was a second-rate actress who would have had roles only in "B" movies if they still labeled movies that way - like the Star Wars series. What's the big deal? Money. SW made a lot of money and Carrie Fisher helped the producers make more. Hence these media accolades. Her late mother had more talent than she would ever have had. For all of you "Just the facts, ma'am" regular posters, the only fact I agree with is that Carrie Fisher is dead. I apologize to all you posters who seem to have been on friendly terms with her.
Pacech1967
Guess they are busy rewriting Ep 8 & 9.

On the bright side, that's one Hollywood liberal who kept the promise of not living in USA under the Trump administration.
