Must be nice to be able to afford to sit around and do nothing for a couple of weeks.

For the old Star Wars movies, I'd skip school on opening day. Post-University, I'd take the day off for opening day. In the 2000s, vendors would rent multiple theaters for clients to watch the movies on opening day. Never stood in line more than 2 hrs for any movie and not since before 2000.

Let the yuts stand in line.

Watched some of The Mandalorian with extended family a few weeks ago. Some of the writing was less than great, but I've always enjoyed the Mandalorian story lines, so it was entertaining enough.

Felt burned by the stupidity of Jar-Jar, so I stopped caring about opening day.

Perhaps we're just older and care a little less about entertainment marketing telling us what to like, what to eat, what to see? Lots of non-Disney entertainment options these days.

A franchise that the Force has deserted...

"When Star Wars comes, you put everything on hold -- it's like having a baby," said mega-fan Nicolas Johnson, waiting with his dog Cookie.

No, it's not like having a baby. And I'm a fan.

Obsessed "Star Wars" fans with sleeping bags and a portable movie projector have started camping outside Hollywood's Chinese Theatre, more than a week before

Go to work! Or go and take a shower.

That being said, I am looking forward to seeing it.

Triumph the Dog should make a comeback and head over there for some interviews.

Correction. Not Star Wars fans.

Star Wars fans are not waiting with bated breath for The Rise of Skywalker.

Disney fans are...because this film has nothing to do with the Trilogy, the objective standard for all things Star Wars.

Must be nice, most of us have jobs.

Anyhow, don't most theaters allow you to purchase seat tickets in advance?
