Phil Collins looks like he's waiting for his number to be called.

"I used to be a drummer, you know. Still have all my teeth."

Bless 'em all, and flush that putrid Drumpf!

I saw John Fogerty's concert during The Eye of the Zombie Tour back in the early 80s. Very cool.

And matters aren't being helped by his gold-digging wife.

Trump should just continue using the Village People's songs. And don't tell him about the Village People until he's lost the election.

Why? Are you suggesting there is something wrong with being openly gay?

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Poor form by these artists who openly despise half the fans who buy their music. Ungrateful.

Call the nursing home. We found the 3 escapees.

Good on them to not back down and to let DT know that he was a fortunate son of but unfortunately you can't always get what you want. I say hallelujah for that.

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

Rightly so! Who would want to be connected to this narcissistic man child. He was once asked how do you handle the typhoon around you to which he replied - I am the typhoon. Blow away soon!

A long winded article about a small group of people compared to the very large percent of Americans who support the President and will re-elect him again. But, with the exposure of the media being so corrupt in the control of news, what can be expected.

Please Phil, go back to taking directions from Peter. A few halfway decent songs does not make you an artist, just a pop singer.

Why? Are you suggesting there is something wrong with being openly gay?

There isn't. But I assume the implication was that many Trump supporters think there is.

Which Japanese artists does Trump use in his campaigns? Does he chant AKB48 songs? Babymetal?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Fogerty said he was baffled by Trump’s use of “Fortunate Son,” his 1969 hit with Creedence Clearwater Revival, whose condemnation of privileged children of rich men who did not serve in Vietnam sounds like a tailor-made slam of Trump.

That one is especially mind boggling. One can only deduce that the man has never listened to the lyrics.

and antitrump campaign continues....yes few more days left than welcome back to reality of next 4 yrs guys...

Yeah I can see how any factual account of what Trump is doing and what people actually think of him would read like a Biden attack ad to Trump supporters.

It’s a great song, gets you jumping, way better than Playing Neil Young, as to why Trump choose that clown is beyond me, but he actually did Trump a favor.

Donald Trump, ranting to a group of so-called evangelicals and religious conservatives - all who are anti-LBGT...

All the while disco-dancing to the tune YMCA by the all gay group Village People...

Hilarious...

The man in the orange make-up is a thief?

I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

I have to admit there’s something amusing about an old man dancing (if you can call it that) to a 70s disco song about gay men hooking up at the Y while his overwhelmingly homophobic supporters clap along.

And I agree, if Trump actually listened to Free world and Fortunate Son, he MIGHT (he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer) that both are scathing indictments of everything he is or has ever been.

now if he wanted to use You’re so vain, Carley Simon might give her permission....

“MIGHT realize”. Apologies....

Neil Young, John Fogerty, and Phil Collins have the right to their music especially if they are not supporters of Trump.  On the contrary, it was surprising to hear that black rappers like Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, Kanye are all supporting Trump.

It's unfortunate that music, movies, and sports are now directly involved taking sides in politics.

I never understood why Trump would use a Rolling Stones song. They’re brits for christ’s sake.

The UK has produced the majority of the best bands of all time.

It’s understandable that you’d use their music but it is an insult to that great band to be associated with Trump. They are clever lads.

Have been for a long time.

I meant that because Trump is running a campaign based on American patriotism, it’s strange he’d use songs by artists from other countries

Is your idea of patriotism using only music from the US? I have no time for patriotism but I’d have thought patriotism would be a bit more substantial than this.

A bit of a superficial and petty point, isn’t it?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

but I’d have thought patriotism would be a bit more substantial than this.

Then I can deduce you believe Trump is adding substance to patriotism.

?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Patriotism is the ultimate and original form of virtue signalling. A desperate attempt to appear to have more 'passion' than the next man. In practice, it usually means you hate anyone who doesn't look, speak or think like you. It's more hate than love. That's why right-wingers proclaim to love America, but actually hate most of the people that live there.

Trump has conned millions into thinking that 'America First' trumps 'Trump First'. He wants your vote and nothing else.

I think this is what they call “alternative logic” or “displaced intelligence”.

Biden has conned millions into thinking after 47 years of doing nothing he's suddenly going to get things done for the American people.

But there are more Trump vote in person voters than Biden mail-in voters.

Trump-Pence 2020 LANDSLIDE :D

Biden has conned millions into thinking after 47 years of doing nothing

Over 30 million uninsured Americans were insured after Biden's eight years. That's just this decade, much less the other so-called 37 years.
