I'm looking forward to some light hearted fictional entertainment that should be seen as nothing more. Wow the conservatives must be a boring lot.

Before reading the article, I wanted to take a shot at how many remakes I'm going to see. I'm guessing 2 in the article and at least 5 for the summer.

Skyscraper = The Towering Inferno reboot?
Off by 1.
i like the original overboard.
The Book Club sounds like a nasty chick movie.
The only one that sounds interesting to me is Hotel Artemis.

Yea, because they spend their money on booze, women and movies. Got them all figured out for sure.
Why doesn't conservative movies like the left behind movies make a lot of money? Surely, rapture is a welcome topic for the masses. There must be a lefty conspiracy on good films.
I am looking forward to Deadpool 2. The first was absolutely hilarious.
Infinity War? Not expecting much, but Ragnorok was surprisingly good. So, maybe IW will be good.

A largely uninspiring list. No wonder all the talent's working in TV these days.

Remakes, sequels and action hero dullness. No wonder people aren't going to the cinema anymore, you are hard pushed to find something fresh to see.

Wonder which PC movie the media will hail as the next masterpiece and shove down our throats until the awards ceremony where all the participants are forced to bash the president. fun stuff

@FizzBit - That Hotel Artemis looks cool. I also have to agree with you about remakes and reboots. Even the film about the muppet murder sounds like a retelling of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? There are a couple of movies missing from this list that might be quite good. Battle Angel is one that appeals to me. Also... Venom. Trailer looks good.

That was the first thing that came to my mind. Only, Roger Rabbit (and Jessica Rabbit) was ground breaking for its time. I still have Roger saying "please" easily recalled from memory, but I've only seen it once.

Same BS different year.

Most sequels suck because they can't top the first one. Another depressing dismal summer of cinematic rehashings and recycled regurgitations. It's like the past 5 years didn't happen. Well, let's see what 'must see' TV has - nah, forget it. Uh, let's see who's touring this summer - Garth Brooks with tickets 'only' at $75 each, Don Henley + the hacks = 'Eagles' with tix at $100, one-man 'Steely Dan', Fleetwood Mac at $150 tix doing 40-year-old oversaturated junk - BOOOOOOORING! Same ol' BS. Yawn.
