What? GTF out of here!! What's happening? Is Hollywood that spineless and that scared of N. Korea? These nutty studios and theaters are giving this idiot real legitimacy. Thanks to Hollywood, they have now made Kim feel as if he is so powerful that he can drop America to it's knees by threatening them to hack them or to terrorize them and these studios will do just that without batting an eyelash. It's shameful, pitiful and downright disgusting! Shame on Hollywood for caving in to free speech.

Bass, in one word, yes... N Korea brought down Sony entertainment, and they surely can cause damage which can make 9/11 seem like a drop in the bucket. Do you really think that the huge Korean population in the US is formed only if nice people? These are not some tribal guys with ak47s...

" Is Hollywood that spineless and that scared of N. Korea?"

No. I think they are afraid of all the lawsuits that will come of possible shootings at theaters made possible by all those unlicensed and unregistered guns floating around America. I also think they were not paying attention before, but now that they see what's in the film, they appalled by the content anyway.

But hey. Even I don't think this tasteless killing of a sitting world leader on film is worth bleeding over.

People are trying to make this about the freedom of speech, but I only see this as an attempt to defend the imagined right to be an irresponsible, abusive POS. Charlie Chaplin making good fun of Hitler without even mentioning Hitler, this ain't.

Let's say that you right for a moment, the U.S. or any country for that matter can and should never buy into the fear of possible repercussions, if you do that, the terrorists will win every single time, not to mention, anyone can apply these same kinds of mafia bullying threats. Nothing wrong with being cautious or vigilant, but giving into fear is something entirely different, not to mention it gives the enemy a stronger pedestal to stand on. NK and others will milk this one for sure. There are other ways they can distribute the film, through Youtube or other streaming sites, iTunes etc. Art should NEVER be censored, whether one agrees with it or not.

How about just backing down because you figured out you were wrong first?

If you start yelling at a guy for stealing your umbrella, and he turns around and threatens to beat you bloody unless you apologize, what do you do?

What do you do if you look over at the umbrella rack during the confrontation and realize your umbrella was there all along, and he just has the same type of umbrella? Do you knock him senseless on the principle that he should not have threatened you? I don't know. Maybe you would. I wouldn't. And it would not be out of fear. It would be out of the realization that I was plumb wrong to yell at him in the first place.

Decent responsible people do NOT make movies of real live sitting leaders being brutally murdered. The response to it is COMPLETELY predictable and obvious.

This is along the same lines as the ban on dueling. Why did they ban dueling? Because there were punks going around abusing the right. They were good at dueling, so they would go from town to town causing trouble and as soon as some mere farm boy sucker stood up to them, they would challenge them to a duel. And because of pride the farm boy could not back down. Then he got killed. Legal, but 300 shades of wrong. So many innocent people died that way they finally banned dueling.

The first wrong here was making that movie. It is outrageous. They could have made it about a fictional Asian country and a fictional dictator, but oh no, they just HAD to make it about a real country and a real living dictator. They just HAD to stir that pot. Punks. Irresponsible punks. And you want to stand up to defend their right to be punks? You want to put other people's lives on the line for this punkery? You would have been one of the people egging the farm boy on to get shot, and calling him a coward if he backed down.

Not me.

Appeasement of evil is never a successful strategy. The USA has been appeasing these communist monsters for decades. When will the fools learn that there can only be peace through strength. God bless Sony, they probably feel that they had no choice. The government has let us all down by failing to put a stop to this cyber warfare. These lice can only survive as parasites on free people.

Probably the funniest movie ever made.

Hopefully this could bring the wrath of Trey and Matt, I'd love to see Kim Jong-un: The Musical.

I don't think that has anything to do with decency. ART is an expression of feelings, emotions, sights, sounds, fascinating to the extreme to sadness and the bizarre. It evokes a lot of passion and emotion and should NEVER be censored, if people don't like it don't watch or listen to it.

Oh, please, we are not talking about a duel, we are talking about a movie which is pure satirical comedy, nothing more.

The first wrong here was making that movie. It is outrageous.

That is your opinion, but there are thousands of people that want to watch it, why should they be denied. When Hollywood did that hit piece about the assassination of Bush, there was NO outcry, no retraction, so why does it make a difference to a person we have NO diplomatic relations with whatsoever? Hollywood wussed out, pure and simple and what is Sony? Japanese. Instead of standing up to N. Korea, the Japanese once again decided to back down and not to mention many of the theaters as well, this is absolutely disgrace and disgusting!

They could have made it about a fictional Asian country and a fictional dictator, but oh no, they just HAD to make it about a real country and a real living dictator.

So what? It's a movie, a MOVIE a COMEDY that's it! You pay money, sit for an hour, eat popcorn with your buddies laugh your butt off, leave the theater, reminisce about the parts that made you laugh the most and be on your way and back to your life. What's wrong with that. With all the crap that's going on in the world, we all could use some stupid mindless comedy.

They just HAD to stir that pot. Punks. Irresponsible punks. And you want to stand up to defend their right to be punks? You want to put other people's lives on the line for this punkery? You would have been one of the people egging the farm boy on to get shot, and calling him a coward if he backed down.

I stand for FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION for ALL HUMANS, particularly when it comes to the Arts and Music. And I think the people that are offended by this do not understand art or hate freedom of expression or are too old and hate life or all of the above. We all have choices, even if you don't agree, they should be given medals for having the courage for making the movie. They probably never intended for all of this to happen, but I do hope Youtube or some other site like iTunes will allow people to get it online.

Accoding yo latest CNN news, Sony says it is looking toward release the movie. So not theaters but dvd€ and/or Blue Ray people can get. Obama said something and Sony CEO opposed Obama's comment. Unlikw Obama said, Sony did not make mistake, etc. Theaters declined so Sony withdrew to release on Dec 25. According to Obama, it was Sony;s mistake. But sounds Sony will sell DVD or Blue Ray instead of showing in theater. I think Obama dis not know what was going and jumped up to tell Obama support Sony.

If Columbia release this film in DVD and Blue Ray. 2 versions in one oack, it will sell more than SONY's comedy version of N Korea. More profit than theater showing.

A sad day for marionette based entertainment.

Have to give North Korea credit for showing Hollywood has no cojones. All those 'brilliant' minds reduced to cowering chumps.
