Yeah, it's a bit pathetic, innit. If I were "stuck' at home (and unable to work), there's loads of stuff that takes precedence over couch potatoing and watching third-rate telly programmes.

Get stuck in with the spring cleaning.

Sort out those old papers and receipts that need chucking.

Sow seeds for summer veggies.

Plant a few flowers.

Read those books you've been meaning to read but never had the time.

Try out one of those recipes that look so tasty but too time-consuming for an ordinary weekday dinner.

Make three different kinds of bread, and a cake or two.

Teach the dogs a few new tricks.

Hand-sew a few face masks - floral for Me, striped or denim for Him.

Then, when you're good and tired, have a nice long soak in the bath, enjoy that time-consuming meal you made, pour a glass of Something Nice, and settle down for a film/drama/video game for an hour or so before bed. Or even - really?? - have a nice conversation with your other half.

The days aren't long enough.
