With the importance of streaming services maybe in the future Hollywood will not be as important as a boost, it would be nice that local talent could adapt these successful novels into movies and series that streaming services could then catapult all over the world.

Don't care who's making them as long as they writing, acting and production quality are there. Tell stores, don't lecture. #nowokestoriesplease

It’s a business.

We know that ‘go woke, go broke’ has been blown out of the water, and the people parroting it have largely stopped their hysterics. The walls closed in on it.

I don’t see any reason why ‘woke’ stories should be avoided. They can make money.

No, we don't all know that. Saying that doesn't make it true.

Maybe. Allow me to rephrase. #don'twokifystoriesunnecessarily

Just to be clear, I’m using ‘go woke, go broke’ as many used it - an iron law of business, not as a rallying cry.

I think ‘Barbie’ is perhaps the biggest strike that blew it out of the water. You do get some trying to tell us that it actually wasn’t woke, but they were half-hearted attempts. The horse had already been flogged to a pulp.

Maybe. Allow me to rephrase. #don'twokifystoriesunnecessarily

Why not? It’s a business. If the stakeholders think it may make it more popular., I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t.

We’ve already established that going woke can make money.

@Jimizo

I agree that we (individuals and companies alike) do things simply for profit's sake. Right or wrong aside, if it makes money, then okay, do it. That's why I suggest not to do it unnecessarily. If it's necessary to make money, then do it.

Stakeholder? Please explain what you mean and why those people should have any say in what kind of movies get made.
