Funny that a movie that glamorises thieves is the most pirated. There is some justice in that...

i very much doubt that their figures are accurate. If they were the industry would be using their sources to try and stop this loss of revenue, no?

It's only a lose of revenue if those downloading would be willing to pay for it if it weren't available for free, no? I doubt that illegal downloading does much to the bottom line for these companies. It simply makes the material available to those who either can't afford to pay for it or those who watch it out of boredom.

No doubt the Chinese and Koreans were behind this poracy. They think nothing of illegal copying of American intellectual properties. The Americans should do more about this.

Downloading is not illegal. Corporations thinking it has value is the real problem, and it is their influence on government that we have this story. The TPP will codify the corporate imperative to get 100% profits

No. Most people who download music and movies illegally do so because it's free. There was an American girl who got into trouble for downloading more than 2,000 songs illegally. Do you think she would have paid for all of them ?
So they are not losing as much revenue as the illegal downloads
