'Titanic' to be re-released in 3D next year

I remember when I saw it originally how it made me go to the washroom in the middle of the film. I'd suggest not drinking or solid food for 4 hours prior to showtime

What I would rather see is a historically accurate remake of the Titanic.

It's nice that they are giving an unknown independent film the treatment. Maybe it will make money this time?

seriously though, Cameron has been desperate to get 3D off the ground ever since his hit Avatar. But it just becomes a gimmick and will end like this fad has ended every other time. We don't really need it.

Also with Celine Dion long since entering her own self parody years due to overexposure, it all just becomes a sad money scheme.

So we get to see Kate Winslet in 3D? I guess I could go for that. I wonder if 3D will make the diamond look bigger?

Please don't. Instead of wasting money on that how about Fukushima Nuke in 3D, I hope somebody is filming for a 3D documentary. I'm sure Discovery or BBC can do a nice epic non-fiction film.

I think trying to profit off of a tragedy that happened 100 years ago where so many died is in bad taste.

What about war films? Schindler's List? What if the Titanic had sunk two hundred, or three hundred years ago? Would it be all right then?

Brilliant. Count me in. This was really a very good film.

One fly in the ointment: "The re-release is to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic setting sail on April 10."

Will the Japanese distributors grasp this, or will we get to see the thing six months late as usual?
