The documentary is financed by the International Olympic Committee and the local organizing committee, and is a requirement under the hosting contract.

Just in case the Japanese taxpayers thought they were off the hook for last summer's Pandemic Games.

Ok, got it! So each host is forced to make a propaganda film for the IOC.........nice....NOT!

The Olympics is an international event and Cannes is an international event, however:  "This film focuses much of its attention on athletes from Japan." Once again, Japan misunderstands the meaning of international community as it focuses only on itself. Again.

Can't we just forget about the Tokyo Olympics? The apparatchiks in Tokyo put the people of Japan at risk last summer by holding these meaningless games. Covid cases reached a record high while Japan Inc. celebrated the "Olympic spirit"!

The 2021 Olympics are a classic case of KANSON, MINPI," or "revere officials, despise the people."

I'll wait for the DVD release.

Can't wait to not see it.

Well, if they are forced to make such films based on IOC contract, it's obviously not going to talk about the proven bribery that went into Japan getting the bid, the scandals, and more.

The Tokyo Olympics will always be remembered in history as the downfall of PM Suga who showed just how weak he was by putting the life of every single Japan citizen at risk and not standing up to the IOC thugs ( Bash said openly that IOC will decide to hold or cancel the Olympics and the Japanese people can’t stop us )! He could have made better judgement call and showed his strength by standing up to IOC ! I really wish he had as I was rooting for him to succeed as one of the best PMs but unfortunately you all know how he will be remembered!
