Tom Hanks Finds Out He's Related to Mr. Rogers After Filming 'A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood'

Fred Rogers is a personal hero of mine. A true saint and I was lucky to grow up with him on the TV. I hope Tom Hanks did him justice and I suspect he did.
Also it is fitting that Marielle Heller should direct this after writing A Diary of a Teenage Girl. There was truth in there about young people's lives that needed to be heard and accepted, just as Fred Rogers also spread such truth about young people especially children, to them directly and also to adults who need the lesson.

Umm, because Mr Rogers was white? Now if Hanks was portraying Jesse Jackson, you would have a valid point, but I don't see any reason to complain here.

Nicky, ever heard of irony? In the case of commanteer, it was misplaced because it didn't make any sense.

A female director. Great! But not good enough. Why did they have to cast a white man as Mr. Rogers? Hollywood still has a long ways to go!
