Musically and televisually, some people seem to be stuck in their teens and twenties. Maybe that's why such shows enjoy the revivals, spin offs, etc.
Which is fine. I still enjoy the old Larry "Buster" Crabbe serials from my youth. But I'd be happy if there was another reboot.

The early 90s wre good for TV. Somehow it deteriated and fast. This was the decade where that juvenile Adam sandler became a zillionaire singing awful singsongs on SNL about summer vacation incest with your mother and other unfunny topics and people thought that was hilarious.

I was a huge Cheers fan, never really got into Frasier, and I don't know why.
I'd rather see a Cheers reboot than Frasier. Way more possibilities.

Nostalgia, and the subsequent relative ease of getting eyes on screens.
Strangerland
Kelsey Grammer was superb in the short-lived crime/politics drama Boss. Placed somewhere between The Wire and House of Cards, it's a shame that it only got 2 seasons.
I saw that show. It was definitely Kelsey Grammar showing that not only is he a real actor, he's a real good one. He had some very impressive scenes in that show. I liked it so much I bought season 1 on DVD (I didn't find season 2).

Preferred Cheers, but Frasier was great fun until it ran out of steam the last few seasons.

Interesting chap, KG. Personally and politically.

Is this because of nostalgia, or because Hollywood has lost its creative imagination and can't think of any new shows?
Strangerland
I agree, but nevertheless I preferred Cheers.

They were both very good, but I kind of liked Cheers better, maybe it was the working class bar setting.
It seems kind of sad to reboot Fraser without John Mahoney, so much of the show was anchored on his and Fraser’s conflicting personalities. And David Hyde Pierce was also a key element.

I love Frasier, lately I had to conform with his roles as a voice actor.

You gave a case of the “Remember when...’s” @smartacus 5:33p.
Wish we had a DVD collection, too. Can’t get ‘them’ all “On Netflix!’.

Haven't a clue what this is about, but love the lines.
Goodnight, Seattle!

"Frasier" is one of my all-time favorite series and I have all 11 seasons on DVD. But like so many great shows of the past (and some movies, too), I don't think the magic can be recreated in a reboot, especially after 17 years. The characters will have aged and we won't have seen them while they were aging. The chemistry won't be there anymore.
I think when a great series ends, that's it. If you collect TV series as I do, they become a gift in time, left to the fans by the cast. We age but they never will, except during the length of the series. Even when the stars pass away, they remain with us forever as loved them. That's the way I like to remember them.

Frasier was actually more intelligent than Cheers, I thought, but it's worth remembering that he has been playing this character since 1984, which must make Crane over of the longest running comic characters played by a single actor.

Fraser was good, but Cheers was better.

I still remember:
"What's that smell?",
Martin Craine: "Probably Japan..."
LOL
Derek Grebe
This could be dreadful.

Doesn’t even mention BeBe Neuwirth? or, Peri Gilpin???

Moose passed away in 2006. “Eddie Crane’ was one of the most popular characters!

Some episodes of Frasier were priceless. not sure how Grandpa Frasier will work out, but hopefully they don't dumb it down and ruin it (like some of the other reboots).

Bring back "The big Bang Theory"!!
