The very serious issue of Exploitation, needing very serious attention yet, . . .

… admittedly, by the source and the director, as an opportunity to purposely exaggerate circumstances and further exploit alleged victims for profit?

This article ends with this additional “*By the way** . . . We made most of it up!: *

*- “**But (director) Janicza (Bravo) was like, 'Remember, this is an interpretation of an interpretation of a perception and it's hyperboles. So ... this is like the exaggerated version.'"*

-"I'm a completely different person [now]. At this point in time, I can enjoy the artistic side of it. ... “ -

Now, she can add “Producer” credits to her IMDB.

its good Hollywood is getting black directors for black actors. That’s about it for this movie.

Its bad they chose this fluff story for such a serious and heartbreaking issue. meanwhile along the Mexican border……

i stopped reading after i saw she was a "waitress and an exotic dancer." me thinks something is rotten in the state of denmark regarding her experience.

So, how much of it is actually true? Sex trafficking is extremely serious problem, it is not right to make a work of fiction out of it...
