He was a brilliantly creative funny man; an original.

Back in about 1967, I had a junior high school teacher in Ohio tell me that he hoped that I was not as much of a "handful" as a guy who had once sat in the same seat. That "guy" was Jonathan Winters! RIP, Mr. Winters.

One of the funniest men I have ever seen or heard. His humor was a bit over my head as a child but when I got older and "got it" I never stopped laughing!! A great man that made a generation laugh. They rarely make 'em like that now.

You know a comedian is "A-list" when Robin Williams lobbied as hard as he did to get Jonathan Winters on the cast for the last season of "Mork and Mindy". When you can make a comedian as manic as Williams bust a gut laughing, you are at the top of your craft. RIP Mr. Winters, our world was a much funnier place when you graced our TV screens.
