RIP Mr. Winters

It's buried under a big W. Say, what's a big W?

Everybody pays taxes!- Even businessmen, who rob and cheat and steal from people everyday, even they have to pay taxes!

Listen, anything you got to say about your mother in-law, you don't have to explain to me. You know what I mean? Like if she were the star of a real crummy horror movie, I'd believe it.

And then they decide I'm supposed to get a smaller share, like I'm someone extra special stupid. Even if it is a democracy, in a democracy it don't matter how stupid you are, you still get an equal share.

Other fine quotes from this masterpiece He's just like your father: A big, stupid, muscle headed moron!

As far as I can see American men have been totally emasculated. They're like slaves! The die like flies from choleric thrombosis, while their women are sitting under hair dryers, eating chocolates, and arranging for every second Tuesday to be some sort of 'Mother's Day'!

And this positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms! In all my time in this wretched, godforsaken country, the one thing that has apalled me most of all is this preposterous preoccupation with bosoms! Don't you realize that they have become the dominant theme in American culture, in literature, advertising, and all things entertainment and everything! I wager you anything you like that if Amercan women stopped wearing brassiers your whole national economy would collapse overnight!!

Well stop kidding, will ya, and make us some drinks! You just press the button back there marked 'booze'. It's the only way to fly!

He's just like your father: A big, stupid, muscle headed moron!

I remember his appearances on Hollywood Squares...

He was a brilliantly creative funny man; an original.

Back in about 1967, I had a junior high school teacher in Ohio tell me that he hoped that I was not as much of a "handful" as a guy who had once sat in the same seat. That "guy" was Jonathan Winters! RIP, Mr. Winters.

One of the funniest men I have ever seen or heard. His humor was a bit over my head as a child but when I got older and "got it" I never stopped laughing!! A great man that made a generation laugh. They rarely make 'em like that now.

You know a comedian is "A-list" when Robin Williams lobbied as hard as he did to get Jonathan Winters on the cast for the last season of "Mork and Mindy". When you can make a comedian as manic as Williams bust a gut laughing, you are at the top of your craft. RIP Mr. Winters, our world was a much funnier place when you graced our TV screens.
