the $2.3 billion Sphere,
Billing itself as the “world’s largest spherical structure,” Sphere is 516 feet wide, 366 feet tall, and can seat 17,600 people. The venue also includes the highest-resolution LED screen on Earth, 10,000 vibrating “immersive seats,” environmental effects like temperature control and cool breezes, and 164,000 speakers.
No mention of ticket prices
Cheapest seats $54. Seems reasonable compares with some of the concerts these days.

U2 really knows how to put ona show. That’s probably why the tickets are so darn expensive. Saw the “Pop Art” tour in the USA and a few years ago in Saitama. Fun but expensive.

It Looks fantastic. Bram did a great job on the drums, but you can really here it's not Larry there. I think the second run of shows will the ones to be at, once the band and visual artists have tweaked what they're doing.

I remember a Stones concert at Earlscourt London. The set was a giant orange. The music stuck up and the orange opened into segments with Jagger running up one of them.
The best sets were always the Pink Floyd, especially outdoors with firework displays.

This is planet earth calling.
An orange set in London. Ok, but this article is about a site in Vegas. And as for orange . . .
Also, this article mentions U2, Elvis, Snoop Dogg, Paul McCartney, Dr. Dre . . .but nothing about The Rolling Stones.

@TokyoLiving: We get you dislike artists.
I was lucky enough to see ZOO TV in Tokyo in in 1993 which really pushed the boundries of Tech at the time - very different to what Floyd had even attempted at the time.

Never liked U2 to be honest I saw them live in Saitama shintoshin once. With a mate who had a spare ticket. It was a good show but I just don't like their sound
Yeah. I hear you bro. I saw Roger Waters here about 20 in. Great lights and sound. Also, Animal tour rocked. It spawned the Wall too so double whammy you see.

I'd love to see this. It sounds great.
My gripe would be that this is an extraordinary venue and its opening is quite the occasion. I don't have a big problem with U2 who have some good, some great tunes, have their own guitar sound, and have a good track record on putting on a show. I just think this occasion that would justify a better U2 album than "Achtung Baby". I don't mind old album based touring, for Pet Sounds or Love "Forever Changes" or whatever, but Achtung Baby is not good enough to justify such veneration. Golden era U2 hit much higher points than that.

Building a sphere of those dimensions is an achievement. Constructed large domes but the largest was only 100 feet high.

I hate it when I waste time reading part of a poorly written article full of emotionally imagery and so devoid of facts I have to go to the comment section for them.
Facts.
Facts are what the news is for. Not this twaddle.
