Uehara, Shiratori promote 'Prison Break' DVD release

Talento Sakura Uehara, 32, joined Beijing Olympics beach volleyball veteran Katsuhiro Shiratori, 33, at Shibuya's Tsutaya at the weekend for an event to commemorate the release of the last DVD of the long-running American TV series "Prison Break."

Uehara, who got divorced late last year, told the press that she had made her "final break out of married life," and plans to get back on her feet during the currently-running "R-1 Grand Prix" comedian competition and hopefully find someone new.

The final volume, "Prison Break Final Break" (3,990 yen) will be released Feb 3.

I was hesitating whether to buy this or not. Now that a Japanese tarento has recommended it, I'm going to go for it. I've never heard of these two but it was wonderful hearing them go on and on about something totally unrelated to the DVD. More more more please.

Talk about lame -- she got divorced, so she can relate to "Prison Break"????? Someone please assure me that Japanese consumers are not that dumb, that even they laugh at such utter nonsense.

In otherwords, these tarento are forcing media so foreign and/or obscure on to the Japanese market, an audience that wouldn't bother watching the show if it didn't have anything to do with the Japanese mainstream media, how pretentious! At least the promoters for 'The OC' in Japan bothered to use the leading actress Mischa Barton at the local release event for a series about a wealthy Anglo-Jewish community in California that most Japanese could care less!

I doubt that these two have even seen Prison Brea!

Besides, the final season isn't even about breaking out of Prison... why then the title "Final Break"? - However, techincally the last couple of episodes are about a "final break".

They've really wheeled out the big guns for this event.

If they need these two to promote such a successful TV series, we thinks the studio might be underestimating the potential buying public.

Prison break 1 to 3 was great but 4 was awful. They should have ended it at 3.

Some women think Wentworth Miller is real yummy...

If you can't be bothered to watch TV at 2 in the morning on Friday or don't have a 12 year old to preset your VCR, BUY THE DVD!

Prison Break was good at first but the plots began terribly silly and unbelieveable the more the series progressed.

They carried on for too long, should have ended with series 2.
