Why? It’s just a entertaining movie, nothing more.
Hollywood has lost it’s mine a very long time ago, nice people are slowly noticing this.
Not true.
But liberals are content when they encourage violence from their surrogates.
Democrats told their supporters to follow, harass and get in Trump supporters faces and tell them they’re not welcome.
Wow!
I have yet to meet a Washington liberal that can take a joke.

Awww poor baby Donald. He slings hatred around, encourages violence and jokes with 'shoot 'em up!' at his rallies - and now he can't even take a satire (at best). He can't take any criticism, he's a bully and a crybaby!
Strangerland
I enjoyed Surviving the Game with Ice Tea back in the day - similar idea. The idea of hunting humans has been a part of cinema for decades. Even Battle Royale, a Japanese classic, is a variation of this theme.
This movie is just a new version of that theme, with a political twist.
With the current political situation in the US, combined with the realization that the country is in fact a war zone of sorts, the timing of this movie is not so good.

I'd still like to see it. I live in the southern USA. My state is labeled "Red".
There are lots of films about characters who are weak touchy-feely people lost in the woods/mountains being hunted by locals who hunt and fish for much of their food.
Turnabout seems fair to me. These are just characters, not real life. These movies aren't for children any more than Fulltime Killer or Ichi the Killer or The Machine Girl or Train to Busan are.

What if the political parties were reversed in the movie?

Educator60 I'd find many of the movies you enjoy boring.
Release the film. Let the public decide. Self-censorship is just another form of govt censorship out of fear. Be brave.

Trump calls out movie that incites violence. People hate on Trump.
Really?? You hate Trump so much that you cannot bear to give credit when it's due? Pathetic.

This makes zero sense. Most of the guns are in the “red” states, and given events like Charlottesville it would be more realistic to presume the violence going the other way.
But higher up execs/producers probably want to provoke “red state” anger with exactly this kind of unrealistic scenario.

Disgusting film and there is never a time to release something like that.
Given what has been going on recently are these people completely out of their minds?

A Trump rally?
Toasted Heretic
I thought folks here were against censorship?

I'd like to see it.
Movies are meant to help us escape our daily lives. I get that some people are overly sensitive but come on, its just a movie, not based on facts any more than Hunger Games or Star Wars or I Spit On Your Grave 1, 2, 3.

It’ll be released once everything has simmered down, this isn’t the first time for Hollywood to take this kind of action.

Kudos to Trump for calling this movie out.

Good call.
