According to his brother Randall's interviews over the years Kevin was not sexually abused as a child (that he knows) but their father was still an ultra right wing, perverted sadist Jew hating member of the American Nazi party who raped him and was a pornographer to boot. It sounds like living torture from the descriptions.

Pretty much Spacey’s neighbor in American Beauty.

I like Kevin Spacey as an actor, but from accounts I have heard he is a fairly creepy guy. That aside, attitudes in the 80s - especially in New York - were very different from what they are today. I don't approve of what he did, but it seems quite wrong to apply new standards retroactively to actions that were tolerated or accepted 30 years ago. May as well lock up every rock star over the age of 50 now, save us the trouble.

Many here don't seem to understand the meaning of the word "alleged."

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Where were the parents of Rapp, a 14 year old left alone at parties where people were drinking alcohol?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Except it is very likely this wasn't an isolated incident.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Rapp described attending a party hosted by Spacey in which the actor picked him up, brought him to a bed and lay down on top of him after other guests left. Rapp, who said he had the impression Spacey was drunk, pushed him away and left.

Is there more to this? Maybe things have changed, but as 14-year-old, I was aware of the dangers of older men (whether teachers, scout masters, priests, youth club coordinators, or that strange guy who lived round the corner). If he could push him away and leave, it doesn't sound so serious - perhaps even self-esteem building.

I guess I'm a dinosaur.

Drunk or not, gay or not, the only thing that matters is that something inside him doesn't understand that you don't have sex with or try to have sex with MINORS

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I have no pity for any of them. If so called gay people are born that way, then nature has determined they are not good candidates to propagate the species. If it is a choice, then it is a bad choice. Either way, they need to deal with it and not seek pity. Second, why does anyone look to movie actors and actresses as role models? What makes them any better than anyone else? In most cases, they are worse. What sacrifice have they made for their country and their people? How many of them are well-versed, not to mention educated in the subjects they have decided to push? Few. And yet, here we set, those with no believe in higher purposes, waiting with bait breath the words and actions of those with little purpose.

Coming out as gay was a smart deflection on Spacey's part, because now he's "courageous" and "heroic", not a predator.

It was on the Graham Norton Show, I watched it. He repeatedly touched the knee of Claire Foy. She looked uncomfortable and kept removing his hand. He just kept doing it though.

I wonder if this comment will be removed like the other two I posted in this thread?

It should.

If you actually watch the "incident" you can easily see he touched her knee once, she laughingly brushed it off, and he jokingly put it back. All in the span of 3 seconds. A total non-incident and disingenuous for you to say "repeatedly" like it was going on for the entire show.

Once again, SJW's are foaming at the mouth over the most innocuous of gestures. Its an insult to actual sexual assault victims.

Another one of Hwood elites exposed in this current state of sexual inappropriateness. Losing credibility &

the fan base as the days rolls on.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

If Spacey was drunk it is entirely plausible that he doesn't remember, or it could have happened so many times that this particular instance fades into the overall blur of assaults (not advances...).

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Spacey may be apologizing for this, but the act was upon someone below the age of consent.

So the victim may accept the apology for it now as an adult, but was a minor when it happened. A minor cannot consent to sexual contact.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I don’t believe he wouldn’t remember. The victim of this assault, a child, is now an adult actor who is known throughout the industry, there’s just no way in my opinion that he doesn’t remember.

I am really disgusted and appalled by this, Really enjoyed his acting, for example in Se7en, and countless other TV shows, films. Shame on you Kevin.

Hopefully some kind of litigation can be brought against him for sexual assault of a minor.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

He’s trying to distract from the FACT that he tried to illegally tried to have sex with a minor by “coming out”.

Last I checked, in America the law says that is sexual molestation and rape even of a minor. How disgusting are you man? This has nothing to do with being gay or your sexuality! He forceably held down a minor and asked them for sex.

He should be put on the sexual predator list immediately.

Imagine if this guy grabbed your 14 year old family member and threw them on a bed and laid on top of them!

I wonder if this happening now has to do with Corey Feldman promising to reveal details of his ordeal. If they would all come out together it would be so much easier...

"I want to deal with this honestly, openly,"

and belatedly

Also Adam Sandler is getting heavily criticized today for touching a woman’s knee when sitting next to each other on tv interview.

It was on the Graham Norton Show, I watched it. He repeatedly touched the knee of Claire Foy. She looked uncomfortable and kept removing his hand. He just kept doing it though.

I wonder if this comment will be removed like the other two I posted in this thread?

Best not make sexual advances on 14 year olds, no matter who you are. Lucky to get away with it to date and with just a sorry I was drunk.

@Blacklabel

Sadly this is far from the first time that Spacey has been less than a stand-up guy. I stopped being a fan of his a long time ago.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Spacey coming out and 'oh, btw apology' is imo a pretty distasteful diversion from the 'real' news i.e Rapp's revelation. Oldest trick in the book.

And sadly, it seems to be working (looking at most headlines including JT's). As an aside, KS homosexuality was probably Hollywood's worst kept secret.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Ok so does he go to 1 week outpatient rehab too? Does he give back Oscars? Anyone need to disavow him and his alleged behavior?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Everyone knew he was gay. No excuse for sexually assaulting children. Prison time

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Not quite a bombshell. Spacey's sexuality was as well known as Weinstein's sexual assaults.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Just another child molester, nothing more.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

its sad that it took this poor guy 30 years to be brave enough to come forward about his sex assault then an LGBT activist such as this twitter guy dismiss him to attack the President and his supporters.

Kevin Spacey also makes it about himself after covering all his legal bases with the don’t remember was drunk line. Sucks cause I like KS as an actor.

Reminded me of this scene from American Beauty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7U0roMnD5s

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Who cares if he is gay, good for him. But i'm shocked about the sexual allegation. A 14 year old bah.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

This means he's a pederast. Disgusting

0 ( +5 / -5 )

So he would have been 27 at the time? Hmmm... some of our popular definitions will be tested by this.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Well, if he's happy living life as a gay man, all the power to him. Not really our business. But the harassment/assault thing... he's gotta atone. If Rapp meets and accepts his apology, then fine.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

I thought the I was drunk and don’t remember excuse was only in Japan.

Apres moi, le deluge must be what Harvey Weinstein is thinking.
