It's funny but It's possible RDJ could lose to the same Joker roll again!

I won't pay to see Joker because that twit Robert De Niro's in it.

Serrano--by that standard, your list of Trump friendly entertainers is shrinking until all you are left with is Scott Baio reruns.

And a hearty tee hee thinking that you can no longer listen to the Stones after Mick shredden Dumpsterfire Donny.

Make that best actor, but whichever award it is RDJ is up against the Joker yet again. The odds...

"I want to thank Warner Bros and DC for stepping out of their comfort zone and taking such a bold swing on me and this movie," director Todd Phillips said in his acceptance speech, also thanking Phoenix for trusting him with his "insane talent".

"There is no movie without Joaquin Phoenix ... Joaquin is the fiercest and bravest and most open-minded lion that I know."

Luvvieness at its best.

Hopefully this joker has a happier future than the last joker.

Well, the idea is to play the character, not to let the character play you!

Heath Ledger overdosed due to the mental stress of playing such a dark character

Makes a compelling story, but I doubt that's true. Actors play dark characters all the time without overdosing afterwards.

Actually, you guys are probably correct.

i retract my statement

I don't think that was it. I think it was getting deep into the head of such a dark character, and realizing their disdain for their fellow humans is founded on the some of the ugliest truths you could ever face. Its hard to go back to being your sunny self when you truly accept how awful most of humanity is to each other or at least how apathetic they are to utter horror. As you read this I bet an American made bomb killed a child in the Middle East. And I guarantee the perpetrator will live to be a free old man with lots of friends. Some murderers are scorned. But others are celebrated. Once your eyes are open, there is a lot of baggage to carry. Too much for some. Sidenote: Why is this evil character so popular in the first place? Yeah. Understanding that one is soul destroying too.

I agree. Ruined the movie. I’ll download a CAM version of it.
