Japanese makeup artist Kazu Hiro wins 2nd Academy Award

Kazuhiro is a naturalized US citizen, not Japanese citizen.

Kazuhiro didn't like Japan according to an interview after the award.

That's strange. His wikipedia entry says he's an American national. But congratulations to him.

He moved to America, so it'd be more accurate to say Japanese-American (in America, it's easy to say [insert]-American)

Well done Kazu. I think his fees are probably already high as he is pretty famous in his field. His giant head sculptures are amazing.

I guess someone didn't like the fact that he's American, judging by the down-voting.

Hmmmmm......  Congrats.  Not sure exactly how this one is judged though.

Japanese? He holds US nationality now, so Japanese-born American would be more appropriate. 

While Bong Joon-ho who directed award winning movie Parasite, no doubt he is a Korean national.

Kazu Hiro already went to work for make up in US movie industries since the first Men In Black movies was in production and continue involved in dozens of US box office movies project since that.

Kazu was probably abused and repressed in the Japanese film industry. Where are the political satire movies in Japan???? The genre doesn't exist. Japan is more like PRC China in this regard.

LAMO it was so funny when Kazuhiro told the Japanese reporter why he left Japan and became an American citizen and now somehow all the video is gone!!!!
