I love this guy’s style. But at his age for a week in the hospital with Covid is just like the flu, pneumonia, or any other body challenging issue. Gambare

Please don't push the Covid is just flu agenda by wrapping it up in concern for another person.

Most of us here are more intelligent than that.

Yes, it was a very lame effort.

Younger ones are dying including a representive-elect 46, won the elections but didn't reach being sworn in.

Did King take his seven wives, and six brides with him?

Hope he recovers soon.

Larry King is well known outside the US for his work, a very intelligent guy with a great interviewing style and a long and distinguished career. At 87 something's gonna get you, and sooner rather than later, but it would be a tragedy if Mr. King's life was ended by this "thing", as starpunk calls it. Like other public figures who've been killed by Covid, such as John Prine, Tim Brooke-Taylor, it just seems such an undignified way to go. Of course that sentiment extends to all of Covid-19's 1.8 million victims worldwide, for whom Larry King and company are the more high-profile examples of a distressing and difficult end to life.

At his age even if he were to get the flu, he’d be hospitalized.

Covid-19 is not like influenza; it is much much worse....

Don’t you people understand basic health and age concerns?

Anyone at his age even hospitalized with the common cold (A corona virus) has a good chance of passing away.

Quite simple.

And no, for stating a fact such as this would not ban anyone from any site no matter what country they are in.

He did his job very well, a very fair minded interviewer. I think none of such persons are left.

Anyone at his age even hospitalized with the common cold (A corona virus) has a good chance of passing away.

Coronaviruses cause only 20% of common colds. The rest are caused by rhinoviruses and other viruses. Lots of articles on this on the web. Here's one.

These days everything covid. There is no other sickness. This is business. In US hospital say Covid they get $10,000 when connected to tube another $50,000

I know the same happens in some European country.

Besides, good reason to push cooked within 6 months and untested vaccine.

I hope Larry will fight even with his many pre-existing conditions. Maybe give the same cocktail as Trump got.

@BigYen: very true. Same percentage actually unknown sources as well.

That is a good site always.

There are still lots of people that believe that if you feel cold you will catch a cold. Quite common thinking in Japan. The old ladies want to bury a kid with high fever in blankets as well and that is very dangerous.

I hope Mr. King makes it through. So many bad bugs in hospitals

Whether the flu is exactly the same as Covid-19 or not, no matter what the people who refuse to think so think, he’s old and could be hospitalized for any number of things, even flu-like illnesses

This is business. In US hospital say Covid they get $10,000 when connected to tube another $50,000

This is capitalism.

Something that needs tackling.

Jeremy Clarkson got this virus over Christmas and said it was a scary experience for him.

Yes, I know Larry King and used to watch Larry King Live. I pray for your quick recovery.

Larry is 87 yrs of age with other health issues. This is very dangerous for him.

Covid-19 cannot be downplayed in his case. It can kill him.

Best wishes go out to him. It’s a scary time for him.

Alright, it's more than just a 'thing'. It's not something to just dismiss as ordinary, and at Larry's age of 87 with his health issues he's at a greater risk than most people.

This is not 'just business', it's serious. And it should be obvious to everyone that Trump faked his illness.

Covid-19 is not like influenza; it is much much worse....

Much worse. And Trump's brushing it off with his uncouth 'kung flu' jokes only downplays the crisis, insults the ones who do get it and makes him look like the obnoxious fool that he is.

I wish him well

Alright, it's more than just a 'thing'.

No probs, sport, it certainly wasn't my intention to imply that your use of the word 'thing' was inappropriate or that you were in any way downplaying the threat to the life of Mr. King. It's something people say all the time - "We can beat this thing" whether they're referring to Covid, to cancer, or to the loathsome threat and legacy of Donald Trump.

Cheers.

Whether the flu is exactly the same as Covid-19 or not, no matter what the people who refuse to think so think,

It isn’t. Refusing to think so isn’t stubbornness, it’s science.

he’s old and could be hospitalized for any number of things, even flu-like illnesses

Very true. But he wasn’t. Read the headline again and keep your imagination out of it.
