I thought his duet with Cliff Richard warbling about Jesus was the low point.

Musically, yes.

He’s obviously a gifted songwriter, but has had a reputation for being an a###hole for a long time. I’ve heard a quite a few paying audience members have been let down by Morrison in one of his moods.

The man who wrote Cypress Avenue now writing lyrics which sound like they could have been pulled directly from crank websites? I thought his duet with Cliff Richard warbling about Jesus was the low point.

The singer, known as "Van the Man" to his fans, has stirred controversy during the pandemic, last August reportedly urging people to "fight the pseudoscience" around Covid-19.

The big eejit. I remember when grumpy Van was the talk of the town, for all the wrong reasons, back in the day when his various late night sessions often ended up with a lot of raised voices and silly behavior. Allegedly.

Gossip aside, Astral Weeks is still one of the finest albums ever made. But he needs to cop on.

Good for him! I wasn’t really a fan before now. Human beings have certain inaliable rights which include the freedom to gather. The lockdowns are doing nothing other than ruining livelihoods and causing depression and poverty.

Oh really? My aunt in Kentucky died from a long unrelated illness and only 20 people could come to the funeral (I wasn't there, interstate travel is restricted). 5 of my own relatives out of the 20 caught CoVid-19 and out of them, my widower uncle caught it too and died. He was 89.

Van Morrison is old enough to know better. Why don't he do what the Rolling Stones are doing now, recording a new album in seperate studios, or even write and record a new CD himself - playing all the instruments himself like Paul McCartney did? His new CD 'McCartney 3' recently entered the album charts at Number One. AC/DC recently released a new CD too, they've been working seperately as well.

Bruce Springsteen, same thing. Van needs to shutitup and use the occassion to make some more music. When the pandemic is over the touring industry will be busting, you can count on it.

No guru, no method, no teacher, no common sense.

"We're not aware of any credible scientific or medical evidence to justify this particular blanket ban... and we're going to challenge this in the High Court."

Morrison and his brief must have spent the past year with their eyes closed and fingers in ears singing ‘la la la, I’m not listening’.

If Morrison wants to spend vast amounts of money during the pandemic, rather than give it to his solicitors, he should spend it on something useful, donate it to a food bank, or iPads for schools and hospital patients etc.

Van is old enough to know better. This CoVid is nothing to mess with and he's being an obstinate ass.

They blame on Authority when death toll arise. They are the one who don't follow the rule and don't like restriction on their daily life.

Bach in my youth I worked as a part time roadie, even way back then he was well known as a primadonna and for having fits, going on about how he is an "Artist" blah, blah, blah.

I worked several if his shows because none of the real professional roadies wanted anything to do with him.

Seems his me, me, me, great and special hasn't changed, I highly doubt he is actually concerned about other musicians, I have seen how he treats his opening acts.

Of all the shows I worked back home Leonard Cohen was probably the nicest person to ever take the stage always asking if we were ok, if what he was requesting was to much, if the opening act thought their alloted time was enough.

While this guy would complain about everything even that the opening act was to long because he had to be longer by x amount.

His music is nice but his disregard for others is clearly apparent here.

Time for Van to go to a care home where he will see lot's of brown, but not eye's.
