Wow, X is formerly known as Twitter. Thank the author for letting us know.

Odd choice for a new president whether the allegations are true or not!

At least he did not send him the 'Apology' in a fax message, the usual method of communication in the entertainment world.

The allegations surrounding Kitagawa garnered international attention after the BBC aired a documentary in March. Several other former members of the agency have since come forward with allegations of sexual abuse by Kitagawa when they were teens.

BBC finally done what many Japanese media just can't do over years, while predator just keep looking for new victim during those years.

Japanese media is a joke- they report nothing unless it’s approved by the government or moneyed elite.

Rape and bow, no problem in Japan.

Some Johny executives should be spending some time like Carlos G. did but this time for good reasons.

@Mountainpear

You put your finger on a significant point, that we see again and again in Japan & other countries in some form or other. "Men with baggage" (or, if plain language is permissible today, "slimy creeps operating in plain sight", a la Russell Brand) continue to get away with it. Blame it all on women, and watch their male mates in the establishment give them a free pass once they've identified a sacrificial woman to "throw under the bus".

Look another Japanese "CEO", "not knowing" what's going on in the company they're heading. I don't know if I should praise Japanese society for being so forgiving, or what.

Makes you wonder how much money was paid to say that.

All it takes is one person to step forward now and Higashiyama sexually molested them and Johnny would NOT BE GOOD!! Johnny would be gone!!

Earlier this month, Higashiyama, who himself has been forced to deny allegations of sexual abuse, took over as agency president after Julie Keiko Fujishima, niece of Kitagawa, stepped down after acknowledging her uncle's sexual abuse and the agency's lack of action to stop it.

One thing this company should do first is change its disgusting name. The longer it continues with the same one the longer it will be associated with sexual abuse, and it should be.
