Try and move beyond the confines of the Skywalker era. Set it many years hence, or in the distant past.

It's a big old galaxy, there's room for all kinds of tales.

It’s slowly morphing into some woke appeasement Harry Potter type thing.

The sophisticated, moral lesson of the initial series has been replaced with virtue signalling.

More and more this disney farce is turning in a lousy mockery of scify comedy, but there is no problen, the fanatic sheeps will love to be milked eternally..

How about making a new sci fi movie based on an original concept rather than just trying to milk a narrative that is more than 40 years old and ran out of creative steam about 35 years ago?

Ha! Just kidding. Jar Jar Binks origin trilogy it is then.

George Lucas in 1976: I have a script for a movie.

Everyone else in 1976: This script is terrible.

Everyone else in 2019: How can we keep milking this thing?

Whatever it is, there should be one director in charge of the entire story arc. Having JJ Abrams direct 7 and 9 and then having Rian Johnson direct 8 turned the trilogy into a bit of an inconsistent mess. There needs to be be a more unified vision, thematically and story-wise, from beginning to end.

I want an old republic West wing. And, I have to ask...why is there a chancellor but no president? You can't have the chancellor be both the head of state and head of govt....well fuhrer, never mind. Valorum and early Palpatine shouldve had a president to act as referee and protect democracy.

The next is The Knights of The Old Republic Trilogy, already confirmed by multiple sources.

The Knights Of The Old Republic Trilogy takes 1000 years prior to The Skywalker Saga and portrays the Jedi vs Sith conflict once again, but with different sets of characters.

I've got a good idea for a new trilogy:

Some years after defeating the Evil Galactic Empire and the Wicked First Order, the Galactic Republic faces a new threat: The New Villainous Evil Antagonist Corporation hellbent on dominating the galaxy. Using a Not The Deathstar Superweapon, the New Villainous Evil Antagonist Corporation's sinister agents overwhelm the Galactic Republic. Meanwhile, an orphaned kid on a planet somewhere is revealed to have Jedi powers. Tracking down Jedi Master Rei, the apprentice learns the ways of the force, but then discovers a shocking familial connection to the head of the New Villainous Evil Antagonist Corporation, Darth Deathkillerman. In a final confrontation with Darth Deathkillerman, the Evil Emperor Palpatine makes a cameo appearance and gives the apprentice an ultimatum: Strike me down or watch your pitiful friends die. Overcoming temptation, the apprentice refrains from striking the Emperor down. And then strikes the Emperor down two minutes later, saving the galaxy.

First of all one needs a pair of ear defenders to shutout the cringeworthy appalling dialogue.....

Anakin Skywalker: You are so... beautiful.

Padmé: It's only because I'm so in love.

Anakin Skywalker: No, it's because I'm so in love with you.

Padmé: So love has blinded you?

Anakin Skywalker: [laughs] Well, that's not exactly what I meant.

Padmé: But it's probably true............

Disney doesn't care, they're just in it for the money.  Expect more along the lines of "Disney Princess Star Wars" releases where they have to keep pushing out more films to franchise to suck up more money.

I hate to say it, but the only thing that I approved of in the movie was where they took Rei's lineage.   After the chaos that "The Last Jedi" left behind, there was so much potential to have finished off the most recent trilogy with some truly mind bending conclusions... but it got dumbed down again.

"scathing reviews"

Every review I've read on this movie is scathing. The trailers are pretty bad too.

They need to have a princess wearing a gold bikini in any future Star Wars movies.

Star Wars has always been "woke". After all, what's ewok an anagram of?

Even more entertaining than the film is the sheer, gammon panic of toxic "fans" who flail about, desperately trying to show how above all this they are.
