Sounds a bit different to the origins story I remember (don’t think Sun Wukong was much of a hero before his redemptive Journey to the West. The animated film “大闹天宫” from the 1960s is worth a watch to see his classic origins story brought to the screen. New film looks pretty fun too and Stephen Chow has done some good stuff (but where is “Kung Fu Hustle 2”?!).

Totally agree..

I remember that 大闹天宫..

A great Chinese classic..

Dragonball's Goku was created by Sun Wukong character..

'Cocaine Bear' is a campy farce trip. It's outrageously funny even if it's violent. At least it doesn't glorify violence (or sadism) and it's something we need today.

I wonder if the strong voiced Idina Menzel, knows that “Drama Queen” is a bit of a slur/slam term in the same vein that 'prima donna', 'diva', 'prissy-miss' and 'princess' are now. It's not a complement.

I've seen the '68 Elvis special. Even though he mostly sang rockabilly and a few countryish songs, his look with that leather outfit foretold the rise of punk rock and its fashions about 6 years into the future.

As of “San Francisco Sounds: A Place in Time”, that city was still a vibrant scene when I was stationed there in 1987. We had at the time Huey Lewis and the News, Romeo Void, Starship, Hiroshima, and of course Grateful Dead Grateful Dead Grateful Dead . Now about all the City has dished out to us lately in this century is Train which is an awesome band - awesome in their flat out suckability. I saw them open up for Daryl Hall/John Oates a few years and I say if you have to start your show with a Led Zeppelin cover medley to get the crowd excited (they actually did this!) before 'settling in' to play your bland milquetoast puke - man, you are pathetic.
