Schulz had tapped into something audiences were craving: an honest, heartfelt message that cut through the commercialism.

The writer of this article has a point here that is just as relevant today. Modern audiences, like those in Schulz's day, still crave such wholesome, even faith based, content. That's why ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ still endures as a favourite.

This and the Great Pumpkin (Halloween episode) were regular events every year for a long time. Well written and with a positive message. The Vince Guaraldi Trio provided fantastic music! Linus & Lucy is a jazz classic!

This show and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was and still is must-see Christmas season TV in my household. They don't make em like that anymore.
