$15 million an episode! No wonder the graphics and settings seem so incredibly detailed and compelling! I wonder when we can get it on Amazon Prime Japan....

GoT is coming!

”I am Groot.”

Bets on the ultimate ruler of the fictional continent of Westeros are well underway, according to British bookmaker William Hill, with wilful, powerful Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) the current favorite. Ahead of the season eight premiere on April 14, more glamorous candidates such as King in the North Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) are also very much in the conversation.

Heh. None of the above.

You think this is going to be a fairy tale ending?

Didn't GRRM say in an interview somewhere that nobody was going to win?

Interestingly, the final edition of the book that it is based upon has not been completed, and probably won't be until after the TV series has finished. The TV series and the Book may have different endings.

@Cameron

I wonder when we can get it on Amazon Prime Japan....

STAR has the rights to GoT first in Japan, so normally you'd have to pay close to 2,500 yen a month for their service.

Luckily, you can now get STAR EX and watch via Amazon Prime for 900 yen (+ tax) a month (A small price for GoT!!!).

Find the link here:

Or the big orange button on the Amazon GoT page:

https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/video/detail/B073ZC5B9P/ref=atv_3p_sta_c_4hhSho_brws_3_1

There is a 14 day free trial, and GoT final season will be aired the same time worldwide.

STAR has a countdown on the site:

I never watched it. Most TV programs are "junk food for the mind."

Like junk food, it's okay in moderation -- but more than that, and it becomes an intellectually unhealthy world of make-believe.

I keep wondering what will become of the GOT Youtuber industry afterwards.

They will air it on Wed evenings. So I'll have to avoid spoilers for a couple days each week.

Not sure where you came up with that. As I already wrote above, you can pay for STAR EX amazon prime channel and get it on Monday. This is similar to HBO amazon prime channel in the US. I doubt it would be available for free on Amazon prime until well after the series is finished.

GOT is a global phenomenon because of the massive piracy of episodes, available in perfect quality 30 minutes after it airs... no one wants to pay for a bunch of garbage shows when they are only interested in one

i will be waiting until the entire season finishes airing so i can watch everything unfold in my own time...

It will be available on TPB immediately after it airs.

George R.R. Martin's expansive "A Song of Fire and Ice" book series

Is it not "A Song of Ice and Fire"?

You are quite right. I was looking at the calendar for May, not April.

Just make sure you tune in at 10 AM or 10 PM on Monday (probably the latter for most of us). It won't be available on-demand until Wednesday, apparently. So there is some truth to the Wednesday thing, after all.
