What a true inspiration this man is.The disease he has is horrible. My father passed away with it 13 years ago and although we were never close it was heartbreaking to see him lose his motor control and then everything else except for his dignity.Masatane Muto I salute your bravery and foresight......you are a true man.

I admire Mr Muto’s courage and resourcefulness. But if I get like him, shoot me.

ALS is a death sentence of a disease. It can affect you at any age and the big majority of people will die in 2 to 5 years, slowly losing your movement in all limbs and eventually even the breathing will go and you'll suffocate to death. Even on a ventilation machine won't prevent death from happening, can't swallow food anymore either.

Horrible disease and many countries especially in the West are not giving the resources and time necessary to address such terrible illness.

Don't forget the late great Stephen Hawking.
