The Academy Awards are an irrelevancy. Apart from all the woke nonsense and chronic virtue signalling an Oscar no longer indicates the quality of a movie. If a film gets one, five, eleven or none it now means nothing.

There's not enough released movies competing

The problem is that they will send about it on TV anyway. If it really was only virtual you could avoid open the websites, but no chance.
