"...follows comments by some Hollywood celebrities distancing themselves from Allen during the #MeToo movement"

That's how Stalin's Russia operated. People would side with the madmen if they believed that doing so would save their skins. Allen's accuser has a personal grudge is highly unstable. The stable smart people who worked closely with him report nothing untoward, including the actresses, yet some side with the crazy accuser.

History shows us that when these "movements" hit a frenzy, intelligence and a sense of justice go out the window.

I belong to no mass movement. It has served me very well, thank you.

@JeffLee, Agreed.

No. That's always how America's film industry has acted.

Fatty Arbuckle's scandal/blacklisting almost 100 years ago and the McCarthy inspired Hollywood witch-hunts of the 1950s illustrates this fact.

To be fair, he's now accused by Dylan Farrow as well, not just Mia Farrow, and if this happened at all, Dylan is the victim.

But you're right that no one else before or since has claimed to be a victim of sexual abuse by Woody Allen. That and Mia Farrow's, how shall we put it, temperament, leave considerable room for doubt. One of her own children has said that she was a manipulative and psychologically abusive mother (her response to that was a passive-aggressive masterpiece). That means there can be at least a suspicion that she worked on Dylan over the years to develop false memories of what happened. The original accusation can also be treated with a little scepticism in that it came out during a custody battle, and false accusations of child abuse are a known occurrence in such situations.

Just to save anyone the trouble of making comments about Allen boffing or marrying his daughter, here's some of the facts.

He didn't marry his daughter (that's definitely not legal) or his adopted daughter (that's definitely not legal either).

Soon-Yi Previn was adopted by Mia Farrow and Andre Previn, who were married at the time.

Woody Allen never married Mia Farrow, and they didn't live together, which also means that Soon-Yi Previn didn't live at his house in the manner of a child and her father. The relationship between Allen and Farrow and the various adopted and biological children is complicated (like everything about Mia Farrow's life), so whether Allen was ever really in the role of a father to Soon-Yi is not only not a settled question, but impossible to settle. It's claimed he had very little to do with her in the earlier years when Previn was out of Farrow's life and he entered it.

Concerning her age, it is actually unknown, but thought to be a few years younger than what was entered on her passport (presumably by Korean officials) at the time of adoption. There's no evidence that she was underage or likely to be underage when the sexual relationship with Allen (is said to have) started.

Woody's reputation will recover. At least he didn't come out as a conservative - that would have ended his career.

I didn't need a group to follow to find that Allen had become a creepy has-been. His movies became increasingly crappy, gnangnan, and conventional after"Annie Hall" left him. Superb actress Mia Farrow lost her time doing 12 times the same character in his films for grannies. He has a right to exist -and he does- and a right to work -and he does. He is no longer likeable. No longer an interesting director.

Many people like you would have no problem seeing their Dad in couple with their sister. OK. I just wonder about the wedding. Where do you seat ? On the groom or the bride's side ? Their kid is your brother/sister or nephew/niece ?

That's a large guess on your part, and as far as anything I said above goes, there's nothing really from which you cold reasonably infer that.

But you do echo something Ronan Farrow (Allen's biological son) said: "He's my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression". In reality, he has no biological connection with Soon-Yi, and by the time she left permanently, he was 5 and she was 21 years old. You really need to read about the whole lot (taking whatever source you use and whatever details are given with a pinch of salt) to get an idea of the Previn-Farrow-Allen family - who was adopted by Allen and who wasn't (most of them weren't) - before you can make any glib interpretations about him being a father, stepfather, or pseudo-stepfather, all terms I have seen applied to his relationship with Farrow's various adopted children, and her children with Previn.

It's also worth looking at some of the things that Farrow has said about her (and other children who weren't on message) and how she treated her children. The fact that she is said to have behaved so appallingly to some of them does significantly increase the chance of her having made a false accusation.
